Porker.......Many thanks! Columbus has come up trumps. They are going to insure me for everything excluding my breast cancer and diabetes for £32.65p. What a difference in the criteria all these companies have. Tried the P.O. £112 with medical exclusions. Once again......Thank you!0

NP - glad you got decent cover. Have a good trip!if it's more than 10 stone, and that hairy, it's probably not a dog...it may be a wookie.0

I'll second that!"Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0

Hi there,
Does anyone know any decent travel insurance companies for people over 60 and who have had medical issues, e.g. heart attack, bypass op, etc.
I have a relative who is looking to travel to Europe on either a Cruise or a last minute trip to Portugal, but want to keep the price of insurance down.
Aside from Saga, who have advised of a single trip fee of £120, are there any other decent companies out there?
Thanks0 -

My husband's mother would like to spend Christmas and New Year with her daughter and son-in-law in Florida. Virgin have been exceptional in fulfilling her requirements flight-wise, but when it comes to travel insurance she is really in trouble. Unfortunately she has pre-existing conditions: Chronic Leukemia, angina and diabetes. However, 'tis not as bad as it looks as all these conditions are being successfully treated, she is mentally competent and able to keep on top of her meds - at 70 with all these conditions, she is really doing well.
The cheapest insurance she has been quoted is 9k!!!!
We're taking Martin's advice and phoning the companies on his list. Does anyone else have any advice and experience on this subject? Thanks.0 -
who was the £9k quote from?if it's more than 10 stone, and that hairy, it's probably not a dog...it may be a wookie.0
