Try Marks and Spencer Financial Services/Travel Insurance.
I used them last year after cancer treatment and they were the cheapest around. (£65 for me and my partner for 2 weeks in USA) Everybody else wanted me to pay a huge excess.

I used this company http://www.columbusdirect.co.uk/ they said specific conditions (within reason) would be covered as long as they were disclosed.

I have Asthma and sometimes find it a problem to get cover.

Advice please. Looking for insurance to cover following criteria: Husband and I travelling to US in autumn. 18 year old travelling to Europe in summer (maybe twice) then in 6 months time to Thailand for six months (gap year project). Self have history of heart operations. Just been to Florida and e-sure said I was no risk, other companies thought I was! Also need company with freephone number from abroad (e-sure doesn't have this!).

As I say a bit complicated. Can anyone suggest a good company to try?

    Thanks.

    Hi All.
I require travel insurance for 3 people, for one week in Europe including me who has type 2 diabetes. (Tablets)
Have tried many insurance companies Money Super Market, Direct line, Tesco, Esure and many others who simply will not insure me because of my diabetes. I have been looking for cheap insurance however this is now looking imposable. Any suggestions!
PS. Is it me or has anybody else feet discriminated against as I do at this very moment. :wall:

You could try contacting the Diabetes UK charity to see if they have a list of insurance companies that can help? Sometimes the relevant clinic at the hospital can help with this - I know that cancer clinics have provided details of specialist travel insurers.
