Thanks everyone, it was definitely a labour of love! :rotfl:

As much as I love the colour combo, I'm itching to take it off and try another lot tomorrow.:D

As for the magnetic polishes, I find that applying a thicker than usual layer and holding the magnet as close as possible works best.

And after trying a Nails Inc one and owning a couple of Boots ones, I can't find any difference at all...apart from saving a few quid. ;)

    Haha!

I actually bribed myself over this.

The deal was that I would do this marbling but only if I wrote at least 500 words and did 2 hours of research afterwards.

If I'm going to have to bribe myself like this every day then my stock of polishes is going to run out in a week! :rotfl:

What are you dissertating anyway? I still have about a year to decide what to do for mine, and I really have no ideas! (It will be my third anyway, hello my name is Adela and I am addicted to academia...)

    Haha!

It's my first English degree and I'm graduating - hopefully! - in summer.

What subject are you doing, Adela?

For my dissertation I'm exploring the political ambiguity in the poetry of Andrew Marvell in the 1640's - I'm arguing that even though he was patriotic to Cromwell's regime, he was a closet Royalist. :D

It's tough going but a couple of days ago I linked together some little bits of evidence that haven't been commented upon before - my supervisor has been jumping up and down since I told him, and
keeps telling me to apply for a MPhil so that I can expand on my thesis.

And if all of the above has sent any of you to sleep, my apologies. :rotfl:

I am currently doing an MA in english, yours sounds really fascinating, thats a PROPER topic. I am quite jealous =) The taught part of my MA is really biased towards post-colonial studies, and I feel that recently that that topic has been done to death, but I cant think of anything new and exciting to come up with. Still got a little while ;)

Oh, and your pictures are making me really want to marble!

Lovely, well worth the blood, sweat and tears?

    Skypie

I have several weak, thin, peeling nails - illness and shutting in filing cabinet drawer:eek:

ATM I am doing belt and several pairs of braces! i.e.. nail envy, lots of oil, and Leighton Denny Renovate and Biobuild, only been trying EVEYTHING for 6 days, but improvement is already visible, and the worst two nails are not being damaged everytime I opened a drawer, put the cups away etc.

I have had good results with both the LD's seperately in the past, but was so desperate after being poorly and all the cold weather I decided to try the lot (all in stock anyway).

Good luck, I am sure you will have fab nails for the big day.:):)
