This group is inspired by those of us who can't resist buying nail polish. Whether it's the latest collection from OPI or Nails Inc., or tempting special offers that have you hooked, this is the place for you.

This is where you can share your opinions of brands, colours, fashions, any tips and nail art ideas. If you know of cheaper equivalents to higher end brands, please do share! Pictures are also welcome

I have a little idea, I'm going to find my minis, mini opi's and nails incs and start using them up. I wonder how many manicures you actually get out of those little bottles?

What annoys me about opi minis is that the names aren't on the bottom
I was told you could check some database online, but I have yet to see this mysterious database. I hate the minis and the brushes too.

This is a great thread. Here's my story - I had roughly 300 (+ or - a few) about a year ago, and I've sold most of them in order to raise some much needed money. I have about 150 in my stash now. I'm going to recount tonight. I know I have about 20 in my "to sell" pile. I love nail polish and it is my weakness, but I put myself on a self-imposed ban for all of 2012 (it's for a good cause - promise).
So I hope you guys will be strong with me. i already started making a wishlist for 2013 once I'm off the ban haha.

I'm not allowed to buy any more nail polishes. DD won't hear of it.

Thing is, my nails are really short because I need them that way for playing bass, and nobody sees my feet other than me.



What I do recommend, though, is Barry M and Stargazer polishes. Both are fabulous quality, great colours, cheap and durable. Better than Leighton Denny and OPI, IMO. The Leighton Denny stuff all seemed to be blueish/green tinged, even the neutrals, and the darker colours were quite gloopy and prone to peeling off. I do like their glass files, though.

Love La Seche ridge filler and Nail Envy as base layers, but haven't found 'the' top coat yet.

I have tonnes of them, largely unused. I like a selection of colours, textures. I don't wear that often, except in the summer.

I have been into nail polishes for about 5 years, I have about 180 plus 30 or so minis. I have periods when I don't paint my nails much, mainly as I suffer from excema and cannot stand the removers etc, and also because I get lazy! Even then I enjoy my polishes, it is a relatively inexpensive way of bringing more colour into my life. I have given quite a few away in the last year, colours I had gone off, or somethimes just as gifts to girlfriends who I thought would appreciate them. That's enough for now, looking forward to meeting up with everyone here and on the no buying toiletries thread.

On my nails today:- Fingers Just Nail Envy with pink undertones caused by staining from the prof. mani I had last week - not returning to that salon. Toes Zoya Blyss - a pretty foxglovy sort of colour, good coverage in 2 coats, slight shimmer, very light and pretty looking.

What is everyone else wearing?

What a great idea! I'll admit to far too many nail polishes many of which are far too similar.

Since they discontinued my favourite ( Ciate Paparazzi if anyone sees any!!) I've been trying to find a replacement and I must have bought half a dozen or so in the last month. None are as nice . I'm down to my last half bottle and getting desperate!

I have UU a mini already! This thread inspires me to go and apint my naked finger and toe nails.

I used Nails Inc South Molton Street with Glitter - it must have been in a QVC set, there is still about a 3rd - half of the product left in the bottle but I had to keep screwing the lid back on to get any polish on the brush and I wont be doing that again in a hurry!
