    Shoppingaddict - they look stunning.

Have been water marbling again tonight. Tested a few polishes to see what would spread and what wouldnt. It seems the thinner the polish the better the spread. I tried the varnish remover in the water but it make no difference for me.

So can anyone recommend any thinner polishes. I'm getting the best results with NYC but wondered if there were any others.

I find Nails Inc works well for marbling. The one I did last weekend was done with two Nails Inc colours.

Thank you, It's Barry M magnetic nail varnish in purple. It comes up more of a grape colour. You paint one layer, let it dry the one nail at a time paint the second layer and hold the magnetic lid over the nail for about 20 seconds and the pattern will appear. The pattern on the purple is the humbug stripes.

I believe Boots sell some Nails Inc polishes but I've bought all of mine online. I wouldn't buy any just to do marbling though, really, I'm sure you could find cheaper ones that would work. If NYC are working for you why not buy some more of those? Fragrance Direct sell them for 99p...

Google the name of the polish to get a better idea of what it looks like. I wouldn't go for the quick dry NYCs, doubt they'd marble very well (though they'd probably be great for stamping).
