Can anyone recommend any cuticle/hangnail treatments? I have incredibly dry skin and the skin around my nails is always dry and ragged. I haven't found ordinary cuticle creams much good. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Try SolarOil by CND (Creative Nail Design). Apply 2-3 times a day until your happy with the state of your skin and nails, then just once a day to maintain. It apply just like a nail polish so nice and quick, and smells or Amaretto.

It's literally a 'miracle in a bottle' it really is.

Thank you for this link, have just purchased, very excited for them to arrive now, eeeek!

Also purchased Jessica - Iridescent Eye from the Peacock queen collection, lovely blue, green, yellow mixed colour.

Have got my eye on the new China Glaze collection - hunger games, particuarly 'Argo' which is the darkish green colour, lush!

Apparently not out for a while though :(

    Happy Birthday!!
Would love to see your nails :-)

If someone more techie savvy than me can talk me through getting a photo from my phone to the PC I'll have a go! I took a photo, attached it to an email then came on PC tonight and it is not attached! Have taken Wooden Shoe Like to Know off again as it chipped badly after one day. I hope the formula has not changed that much. Will try Vampsterdam next.

Anyone else fall pray to the QVC Nails Inc TSV and Autodelivery today?? :o

I was in London on Saturday and visited the South Molton Stree store so I couldn't resist getting a quick manicure with the new neon shade Portobello, it's gorgeous I love it!
I bought the polish too :o

    Loving everyone pictures!

No but then again I don't really rate Nails Inc that much so didn't bother to look.

I've been playing! I tried marbling for the last couple of nights. It went ok last night but I'm not so sure about the colours. I have glittery pink and navy blue and feel that it makes me look somewhat of a stripper  I'm sure it's just because I am really not used to wearing nail varnish on my finger nails.
I bought some bits in boots last night and they have worked very well. A base coat with ridge filler, on examination my nails are lovely and smooth now. A white nail varnish as a base for the marbling (would NEVER wear this on it's own). Also bought a clear one to use as a top coat.
Now the marbling took me a good couple of hours last night but I think that it will get much quicker when I get more practiced with it.
Anyone used to doing it? I got on quite well with the vaseline around my fingers but found the tape very easy to remove when I used that. What do you all prefer? Tape's harder to remove if you have to snip it but it comes straight off and you can leave the polish to dry a little longer. erhaps tat's why I like the tape? Doesn't matter though because I have tonnes of vaseline to use :o. How do you all apply it? I was wiping on with my finger and don't know if a brush would be better?

I've been very naughty and bought a couple of Boot's No7 Magnetised polishes. :D

    I LOVE THEM!!!

I got the grey and green and I'm really impressed with them.

Plus, Boots is doing a 3 for 2 on No7 so I grabbed a lipstick...and then saw that they are giving a free blusher with any No7 product!

    Win win! :j

I've tried the Nails Inc magnetised polish, and I can't see any difference from No7.

Where can you get the No7 blusher voucher? I saw the 17 one, but there was no No7 one.

I use tape rather than vaseline when I do a water marble. I use masking tape rather than sellotape though, so I can rip it instead of having to use scissors. It does get quicker with practice. Are you using bottled/filtered water?
  • How sad am I that I am counting down the hours until I finish work tomorrow lunchtime so I can come home and paint my nails.
