OK next thing to check.
Close your browser. Turn off your wireless adapter temporarily (either a switch on the front/side of the case, or a combination of the Fn key (bottom left of keyboard) and one of the F keys (top row)).
Plug the ethernet cable into your laptop (there is only one socket it will fit into, and you should feel it click into place) and into one of the four sockets on the back of the router. Wait about 30 seconds then open your browser and see if you can now access the internet properly.How do I add a signature?0 -
Another thing to check.
with wireless enabled, go to Network and Sharing Center. Click on Change Adapter Settings (on left). Right click the icon for your wireless connection then click Properties. Click on Internet Protocol version 4, then click the properties button. Post what is displayed on the first page.How do I add a signature?0 -
I am doing the second checking part first:
First page: general
There is two options chosen:
1. Obtain an ip address automatically and
2. Obtain DNS server address automatically
Now heading towards my modem..
