I feel I have got my skin sorted and I do not want to upset it in anyway - I still can't believe that I have got so far into bad weather etc and not had a flare up. I've probably jinxed myself now..but it is the longest I have been with a clear (ish) face!! (Had a red mark on forehead, possibly ezcema but it has calmed down to nothing now - spot on nose too
).

Hi There,
Has anyone tried the Boots No7 Mineral Loose Powder Foundation recently?
If so, what did you think of it - any good / worth the money?
They have the £5 off vouchers currently at boots, wondering if I should purchase this - never tried a mineral foundation before, not sure if I'll like it...
The colours I've seen in store all kinda looked on the darker side - I'm fairly pale!0 -

I can only say that I would never ever go back to any yukky liquid stuff! My skin has been its best ever since I changed to mineral make up. I think you have to find what suits you. I know that I will only use what I know to be pure minerals and I am not sure about the Boots one - no doubt someone will come along and tell us!
If it is not alot of money - then why not try it? It may suit you. If not, try another brand, you can mix and match, it takes awhile to get used to it, and then when you do, bet you won't change back!! It helps to find a brush that suits you too.Genie

Hi
I have the No7 mineral foundation and I love it. It is really light on the skin. I am quite pale skinned, but have a tan as just got back from a winter holiday and I bought the buff coloured one. It looks quite dark in the pot but is not so dark on the skin. Maybe you could go and ask one of the No7 assistants if they could put some on you because you are unsure of the colour.

Ok;
A question if you don't mind..
Have brought a couple of different mineral foundations; and to be honest i don't know what all the excitement is about.
Possibly i'm doing something wrong but it doesn't look any different on my face to just putting a lot of face powder on???
All the adverts say it gives you flawless skin etc etc; but it seams to provide absolutley no coverage at all.
I normally use Max Factor colour adapt and with that i need no concealer at all - have tried Mineral Make up all week but have used loads of concealer on my blemishy bits.
Really annoyed as i want skin like in the adverts **sulk**
Any tips; is their a knack to it i'm missing??I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
First of can I say as a long time mineral make up wearer Im not overly impressed with how its packaged and sold by the likes of Max Factor etc
First of all I was looking at them all just this week and the majority of them were full of "corn starch" which is just a substitute for talc.
The other thing is the brushes - way too small and flimsy
The other thing - no real instruction on application. Even the adverts show them make up artists just brushing it on like a face powder
Heres a great tutorial http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=mtrGeKGcn940 -
Have you had a read-through of the long discussion on this forum about mineral make-up?
General consensus seems to be (as suki suggests) that the mineral products from the big-name cosmetic labels are generally inferior to the products which are produced by the specialist mineral make-up companies.
