I so wish I never found this thread :(

There I was quite happy with my Bare Escentuals, not really getting the greatest results but happy that my skin was improving and I was looking a lot better, then people started mentioning other brands - AND ITS COSTING ME A FORTUNE :))

Lilly lolo - wonderful colours but not happy with the coverage

Elemetalbeauty - FANTASTIC coverage, trying to find the right shade

And now have just spent another 15 quid on samples from MEOW

Its a good job I gave up smoking :))

    LOL @ Suki

I got my Lily Lolo yesterday and tried one of the four foundations I ordered as samples. About to go try another one but it'll be interesting as they don't look all that different when looking at them in the pots.

Thing is, the Elemental Beauty pots look sooooooooooo cute that I want to try them now as well. Are they really as sweet as they look?

By the way, I know it's not the right thread but I am now in love with my Liz Earle skin products :)

(Please don't look at my sig cos I know I shouldn't be doing this :o )

I tried everyday minerals on recommendations in this thread and I like the products. was using BE before and now I switch between the 2 depending on my mood! Everyday minerals are much cheaper than BE but seem to the job just fine.

  • Right, am I going mad, or do Lily Lolo no longer offer the mineral eyeshadow samples? You can buy samples of the foundations and blushers but not the eyeshadows by the look of it...hmmph...

I got samples from Lily Lolo yesterday and am not sure. It sure felt like i wasnt wearing any make up at all, but i think my skin is too dry for this kind of make up and by the end of the day i was starting to crack up. My face i mean!

I also got a shimmer sample, i usually wear pressed powder shimmer as eyeshadow and highlighter, but it fell into the creases on my eyelids. I thought minerals werent supposed to do that.

I will get some samples from elemental beauty, they dont do eyeshadow samples either though, would love to try before i buy a full pot!

ok guys dont bother with the 17 mineral make up from boots
it really doesnt help the shine much at all. it is like a regular creme to powder foundation and i am all shiney by lunchtime

i knew it was a long shot but i thought it worth trying!
  • Bare Escentuals you can buy off ebay. I made the mistake of paying £49 for a box from QVC then realised I could get it cheaper.

I use the kabuki brush and its great for coverage. Can't fault the foundation - it covers and stays all day.

    Hi
I ordered £30 of mineral make-up from Everyday Minerals in the States almost 3 weeks ago, I had to pay $12.95 in postage which I thought was pricey enough, today I got a note from my postman saying I need to pay another £11.98 import duty on a parcel (which must be the make-up as I've not ordered anything else from abroad).
Is this normal??? I did order some samples from them last month and didn't pay any duty for that??
Sadly my DH saw the note and is not at all happy!
I've never spent so much on make-up and am shocked about duty!

I have never had to pay any import duties for my Everyday Minerals. Purchases of over roughly £30 (excluding P&P) are subject to duties.
