Hi Guys,
Firstly thanks tigerone2000 for pointing me to this thread.
I have used Selective for about 6 months with no problems until he stopped using DHL and switched to APC who a week later stopped working with him as he had not paid his bill. I think he genuinely was trying to deliver all the back log as I had parcels delivered at 0.50am to one customer (was left in the porch but neighbor spotted them delivering) and on was delivered at 10.50 pm in London and the customer told me the driver was knackered and warned him not to send parcels through selective again as they are S***. These 2 parcels were delivered almost 2 weeks late, I had spoken to Chris who was in charge of the deliveries and he assured me all my parcels would get delivered (some did but many never made it).
Then all went silent no one answering phone no email replies etc, I eventually got though on the office number (BTW I believe both these numbers are VOIP numbers) and spoke to an Asian guy who said Kevin has not been there all week and there were a load of parcels there and that he said he Kevin was supposed to be clearing them all out and that the building belongs to the Newsagents next door? but would not give me a name or contact number to ring the landlord.
I have contacted my local Trading standards and they have opened a log and advised I do the usual send a letter recorded giving him seven days to respond then to contact them and they will take it further, I also got a call from Trading standards in Blackburn who asked me for details as they had not had any other complaints regarding Kevin King Selective. The letter has been sent and I am waiting till Thursday before contacting Trading standards again.
I also did a bit of searching on the net and found a newspaper article about a young lad named Kevin King who was from London originally (Kevin as a bit of cockny in his accent) and it gives the address he lived at (Parents house maybe?) I am looking into this further.
As for the DHL fraud thing I have here a DHL book and roll of labels Kevin gave me so I could get all my parcels ready before his driver arrived to speed things up and I also have a customer who can verify they delivered a parcel to him with DHL labels still on the parcel at 10.50pm 3 weeks after he ceased using DHL.
I also have his bank details and my brother in law will try and get me more info on him soon (hes a PO but due to the legal side he has to be discreet)
currently I am out of pocket to the sum of approx £600 and cannot see how the police cannot see this is organised theft.
If anyone has any more info please PM me so I can add it to my list as I will pursue this to the end.

If you have lost parcels (like me, 11) and were left dhl paperwork, DO THE FOLLOWING
1. prepare email with following details of parcels, addresses, weight, date picked up, ref no. left you by driver, CONTENTS of each parcel, SIZE...colour of box etc.....somewhere secret the police have parcels with all labels ripped off, so this info is PROB the only way you may be re-united with them, also it is direct evidence that will link you, your parcel and the people that have nicked them..remember DHL are doing this to help, so be polite, they have also had all this nonsense dumped on them with no fault of their own..
2. send this info to paul.nicholls@dhl.com0 -

Thanks... However my parcel was picked up by TNT not DHL to go to Selective's offices, where it was then to be posted on to my relatives in India so I have no idea which service he was going to use and its current whereabouts...0 -
I spoke to paul nicholls last week and he informed me that he is no longer dealing with this case as he has passed all the case onto the police?
Also I have tried to log a complaint with trading standards myself for the 32 parcels amounting to well over £1,000 and they just do not seem to want to know. After being passed around four different telephone numbers they eventually rang me back and told me to view the web site and write to him.
What is the point of that? I have just telephoned his office number and spoke to the Asian sounding gentleman that several others have spoken to and he reiterated that there are no parcels there and he moved out three weeks ago. No doubt this poor chap is fed up of saying the same old thing but was not very helpful at all.
Okay, I do not want to let this matter drop but I am baffled as to where to go next. I think the small claims court avenue would need an address for him which no one seems to have.
Can anyone advise of the best direction to take with this matter because surely you cannot do what Kevin King has done, on the scale that he has done it, and simply walk away.................................
Many thanks for any assistance that anyone can be.
kind regards alan0 -
i used kevin king for about a year.
he was always a bit iffy but he was so cheap you could let the odd slip up and unanswered email go. however he now has at least 7 of my parcels worth about £3000. i,ve had all the lies and excuses. spoke to the asian guy. spoke to chris etc etc. he also owes his driver for my area a lot of money.
i have spoken to the secutity guy from dhl who informs me that the police are involved and they are looking into get everybodys parcels back to them.
i actually know where he lives so he will be getting a visit very shortly.
i realise it must have been difficult for chris answering the phone and lieing through his teeth, but he is also to blame for this. stringing us along knowing that kevin king is not delivering the parcels he should have been.
apparetly kevin is only 21, though he looks about 40. he hasn,t made a very good start to his business career has he.0
