My company has some returns in the depot - goods we despatched, then had delivery queries on, Kevin simply said RTS(return to selective).

There are only in fact a handful. We delivered for a week then gave up. As a result have lost significant funds. We have now managed to get hold of around a hundred parcels commandeered from his shop - I have no idea how old they are, most have delivery addresses on, some have senders details, many of the senders details are vague ie John Smith Lincoln, and useless. Having lost a fortune I cannot have staff spending lots of money trying to locate
and return his parcels. I will however do my best to find the senders within a financial limit. I will this weekend log every item recovered and respond to every e-mail query we receive. We have already found some senders and agreed a method of return or they have collected them. Whilst I have absolutely no sympathy with Kevin King, I have no experience of seeing any parcels with labels removed. I personally do not believe this to be the case.

I need from senders - Destination Name - Address - Number and description of Parcel - By e-mail - If the parcel is amongst those we have recovered then I will inform you of the cost for us to forward to the end destination - or return to sender -in most cases it will be the same. Or you are welcome to collect from our depot. I hope I can be of assistance to you - Good Luck.

    ---- END----

So things might be good for some of us? Good luck every one affected.

And a BIG thanks to Dave for his help.
  • Sorry to be a party pooper but SI have been using a parcel network that I work with and I know for a fact that the account holding depot has been charge by the network than SI charges its customers in most of the freight I have handled. Doesn't take a mathematician to work out something is desparately wrong.

I spoke to a person involved officially and mentioned my parcels all had both delivery and return addresses..seemed enough for me..but after this person made a specific point of my describing the packaging and contents of every single one...then I twigged they were not going to come back if the addresses had been removed...so I asked if this was the case...yes was the answer from someone that has been up to Keighley and is in direct contact with the police, either they have seen this or got it from the police..why would anyone make it up...?
It seems to me the police have been round straight away to Mr King..if they have found this stuff in this state somewhere then it is going to be kept as evidence..for a good while at least..?

If you have lost parcels (like me, 11) and were left dhl paperwork, DO THE FOLLOWING
    1. prepare email with following details of parcels, addresses, weight, date picked up, ref no. left you by driver, CONTENTS of each parcel, SIZE...colour of box etc.....somewhere secret the police have parcels with all labels ripped off, so this info is PROB the only way you may be re-united with them, also it is direct evidence that will link you, your parcel and the people that have nicked them..remember DHL are doing this to help, so be polite, they have also had all this nonsense dumped on them with no fault of their own..
    2. send this info to paul.nicholls@dhl.com

I've emailed Paul Nicholls who did advise he has completed his investigations but if you still send him the information above he is still continuing to provide information to West Yorkshire Police.

He also said "West Yorkshire Police have advised that all further complaints should be made to the police locally in the area that the collection.

Please attend your local police station and report this as a theft by Selective International. They may not be too keen to take the complaint but insist in order that it be recorded on their database and accessable to WYPol."

So Vjain, I'd still email Paul as he is passing the information onto West Yorkshire Police and report it to you local police like he advises. I'll be doing this sometime this week.
