Anyone else having problems with Selective International at the moment? I have contacted Kevin twice in the last 24 hours and he hasn't gotting back to me about 2 international packages that were due for pickup Monday and yesterday. I am going to have to seriously consider finding another way to get these to the buyer if i hear nothing.
These are packages 3 and 4 i have booked with them and only package 1 was picked up on time. Package two was a day late as well. Hmmm....
Maybe time to source a new courier.

I have Kevin in my IM.He's usually around at 0730 ish.Any queries even on a late order he has done for me through IM.
As soon as I get the confirmation email I take them to my local parcel depot where they are dealt with within a few minutes.(Take the email print off with you.
I'm glad that some members are putting in other couriers as I appreciate some members have had a hard time. It's nice when others can commend a particular company but as yet I have had no problems and at £3.99 can't be bad.
All in all lets hope we can all save some money at the same time.:money:0 -
I don't have a car and work 9-5 so can't drop it at a depot. I need for it to be picked up.0

I was waiting for someone to say that. The depot visit can be useful for people who can't wait in or can't have it collected at work.Could be a useful 0800 drop off for some of the 0900 starters though. Can't you get a lift?
Is the £3.99 charge keeping you at Selective?I see Kevin has put alot more on at this price.I mean are you tempted to want to pay more just incase something might go wrong?I am quids in so far.
So 50 parcels will be costing me approx£100 more.May get a couple of queries.
Is it worth paying extra?
Don't get me wrong I am thinking about changing but I am tight with my money.I even bought the wife some flowers yesterday ,to not buy them today and mine were reduced in Asda.Nice roses though with 7 day on them:eek:0 -
Nope, no chance of a lift. I live in london and only do public transport. Also not only do i work but i go to University three nights a week so running around trying to find depots and carrying 10kg worth of stuff is not possible. I don't have the time. I can see how it would be good for people who have a depot close by and have a car. I choose this service because it picks up.
Would i use it again? At this stage probably not. I have been at my desk now for three days straight waiting for them to pick these up and i think paying a few extra quid for a reliable service (Remember that i am getting no service from selective at the moment) and to reclaim the ability to leave my desk on my lunch break is worth it.
I send things out promptly and may find that because i picked an unreliable method of getting the items to my customers it may have an impact on my own customer service, that may cost more in the long run then what i save using Selective.0 -
Well, i'm going to have to head off soon as i have an exam and was already late once this week waiting for them to be picked up. The exam is not something i can be late for.
Looks like another with a failed pick up.0 -
Still not picked up, still waiting at my desk just in case.....0

I had problems this week too, I sent him 3 emails with no reply about 2 parcels not collected. Eventually rang him yesterday and he asked me to rebook which I did. The parcels were collected the same day :-)
The problem I had was that I didn't receive the postage instructions from him until after DHL called a week ago, and DHL weren't given the international address but Selective's one. I guess they go via his office.
I was quite happy rebooking it though.
He is still the cheapest on ebay, I've never had any problems with UK services so will continue with him.0 -
Can you please PM me his phone number?
If they aren't picked up today i am going to rebook them with someone else and take the postage hit as this is already going to look like bad customer service on my part.0 -
Thats it! If they aren't picked up today i am going to book with https://www.pharos-international.co.uk tonight and hope that they provide a little better service.0
