I know, it is almost as bad as people who correct other people spelling an grammar.

The other thread's on the other sites are gaining momentum nicely :)

I think we've hit a brick wall here and all that is going to happen is repeated abuse hurled back and forth and when you post pics to help then people mess about with it therefore making a mockery of the whole thing. Just for the record, i don't give a rats !!!! who looks at the pics or uses them as long as it is helping them for any purpose with Mansion.
My experience on this thread has put me off trying to find advice on this site again especially because of the immortals who can't be touched as they have been on this site for years and look to demean, contradict, belittle and generally insult anybody new, anyone who offers sound advice or anyone who generally attempts to find anything useful on here. How the administrators of this site haven't got rid of a lot of you is beyond me as they are obviously losing a lot of people because of it.
Open forum! Open to abuse more like.
Thats it for me, i've wasted enough time trying to help and getting crap from people who haven't had any dealings with Mansion to be of any realistic help. You kids can have your playground back and bully the other new kids but i'm off to another school.
Wish i could really say what i think but i try to abide by the rules where possible.
Thanks to the genuinely helpful people on here who have offered advice and info.
    Have fun.

Before you throw your toys out of the pram, you should think about the posting style of your fellow 'newbie' KJEG. If it weren't for him 'stirring the pot' (more than 100 posts on a single thread. Possibly unprecedented for any 'newbie') this thread may have taken on a completely different form.
Unfortunately, it meant that possibly genuine 'newbies' were tarred with the same brush.
So perhaps direct your 'disappointment' at the one who seeks to defend those characters under the pretence of caring about people getting refunds etc.

If it weren't for us separating the wheat from the chaff, we would have all kinds of ne'erdowells peddling their wares here.

So think twice before you hitch your wagon to KJEG's cart and be thankful there are many here looking out for the genuine consumer.

Of course I don't believe you are going anywhere, otherwise you would have scant regards for the rules.

So if you are a genuine consumer, stick around. :)

With all due respect, if memory serves me right, you haven't actually asked for any advice, just posted statements within this single thread, so to condemn an entire forum is a bit OTT . Ok you haven't had the best of treatment here. Yet you appear to be happy with others posting and agreeing with you , even though they have made threats of physical violence by tracing them and visiting them.

yes it more than likely has hit a brick wall and probably dwindle away very shortly, at least on this site.

OK, one more post for the road.

    1. My wagons not hitched to KJEG'S cart but my horse is (just kidding). Look, we agreed on a number of things and found each others posts helpful, whats wrong with that!

    2. I stand corrected on asking for advice and meant to say i was looking for advice off peoples posts that may have helped me.

    3. I don't agree with the violence threats etc. but some people seemed to want to see how far they could push him and he may have over reacted.

    4. Yes, i agree, i shouldn't have condemned the entire forum but it has not filled me with confidence about seeking advice on any subject here due to how things have gone on this thread.

    5. Had my toys out of the pram as i became cheesed off with the sameold, sameold every ruddy day.

    6. Yes, i am a genuine consumer who will stick around but not on this thread. Well, perhaps a little peek to see if anything has changed now and again, although i doubt that very much.

    Until we meet again.................

P.S. came across a HAIER TV that launched in Sept 2011, the Metal Slim 32" HD tv that looks remarkably similar, made in Qingdao, China. Could be the same factory where the Mansions are made.
    Chow.

    Mmmm....

This site never fails to disappoint!

I now know the reason why there is a big box at the side of any "newbies" posts as this is obviously a sign of "repeated behavior" otherwise it wouldn't be there, indicating to me that if "newbies" aren't conforming to the "regulars" opinions they will be crucified.

The engineer from Virgin checked my Tivo box today and confirmed that there wasn't anything wrong with it. However, he was as bemused as I was why the TV wasn't accepting the HDMI signal from it and coming up with a message about checking to see if the TV was HDCP compliant. He phoned his manager, explained the situation and as soon as he mentioned the name Mansion to him, his manager said that he had received several other calls about the same problem with Mansion TV's. His manager advised to contact Mansion as, as far as he is aware, there is a software upgrade to correct the problem (which is easily done by the USB connection on the TV and not a major issue). However, what wasn't confirmed to me was whether or not he knew of any customers that had solved the problem or that indeed the opposite was true and they hadn't. Obviously, if their problem has been solved it's logical to assume that they wouldn't contact Virgin again. I will email Mansion tomorrow rather than having to phone so as I have documented evidence rather than verbal and post on here for the very last time for those with a genuine interest. As a side note, the engineer has asked me to let him know the outcome if he comes across another customer with the same make of TV.

In the meantime, if anyone else on this forum that receives a TV from Mansion and experiences the same problem connecting a HD source from either a Sky+ or Virgin Tivo set-top box I would be extremely grateful if they could post on here and let me know. I won't comment as to the Virgin engineers remarks about the quality of the TV as there is obviously no point.

Another side note, I was offered a free TV stand by Mansion for all the delays and hassle that I never pursued as (A) I don't need one and (B) I just wanted the bloody TV!

My advice (for what it's worth) is not to deal with Mansion although I am more than happy with the set but maybe consider Kogan as an alternative. The specifications are very similar, the company is Australian and well known selling on reputable websites, there are reviews on the TV if you want to Google them and they are very similarly priced. I personally went for the Mansion as I preferred the aesthetics of the Mansion over the Kogan.

I have found the whole experience of this website a revelation and have been more angered by the treatment dished out to "newbies" if they don't conform to the opinions of "regulars" than the hassle of having to deal with Mansion! Being naive to the workings of this forum I have initially gone out of my way (as have others) to offer my experience as MD and owner of a CEM trading for over 20 years.

If you have ordered a TV from Mansion and receive it I think you will be pleasantly surprised after reading all the dross on here but my advice is not to post your personal opinions if they are positive.

I forgot to mention...the set is full HD at 1080 as I've tested this using the VGA input and checking the screen resolution, the problem is the HDCP issue.
