Has anyone except KJEG had their TV??.:Lovin' Life:.0

Update.
Played around with the settings, rebooted Tivo and still no joy with the HDCP issue. Would be interesting to know if anyone else has had a similar problem...although I seem to be the only one that has a TV! I called Mansion about the problem and, as I suspected, no-one has a clue what I'm talking about so I have to call back tomorrow and speak to a guy called Steve. If it turns out not to be HDCP compliant that will be a MAJOR issue and will kill off the majority of their sales unless they can come up with a software fix (easy to do as long as the internal processor is capable). I can run some software through the TV to check compliance but that will have to wait until tomorrow so it looks as if you guys and gals are stuck with me for a few more days! I bet FWOR will be pleased.
If I can get round the HDCP issue I have some superb software I'm configuring that will make Sky and Virgin look archaic. If it does turn out to be non-compliant it will be promptly repacked and shipped back for a refund.0 -
Wow didn't realise this was a spelling bee competition.
Given his show of etiquette and the way the mansion TV site has been created, then a very good chance KJEG is behind it.
Gosh a tracking number to a parcel, which means absolutely nothing other than it shows an item being delivered.
Glad to see you checked your spelling and grammar this time!0 -
Well KJEG, it appears you are the second person in the UK to get a MansionTV
I'd be very surprised it didn't support HDCP in this day and age but if so, then a major issue unless easily software upgradable...worrying that Mansion (so far) don't seem to know what you're on about.
Despite my concerns I've already stated, I have to say that it wouldn't make much sense if KJEG was in some way related to MansionTV otherswise his mentioning HDCP issues wouldn't make much sense would it and so unless it's some super reverse psyhcological mind game, I doubt he's 'one of them'!
Let's see how this all pans out...

They are cheap re-branded generic chinese tv's, so wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have HDCP.
Of course it makes sense, after speaking to there wonderful tech guy tomorrow who will undoubtedly solve this problem. Then KJEG will come on to praise them for the wonderful help.
Do you goose-step whilst you check all the spelling and grammatical error's KJEG.
Does make me chuckle, when the only thing they can come back with is spelling error's.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -

I agree totally, that will be enough to kill them off and if it is an issue they have a big problem on their hands. As you say, I can't believe that it isn't and it could be my HDMI cable (although I doubt it) or the Tivo box. I've not used it so far for HD content only 720 so it could be the box. There's no reason to panic yet as it is detecting the HD signal but doesn't seem to be "handshaking" with the Tivo. I should have time tomorrow to do a software check and see where we go from there, I've also got a Virgin engineer on standby for Thursday, although they will probably just bring a new box to swap out. I'm not particularly surprised that Mansion don't know as they are, after all, a sales team and the guy I need to speak to wasn't around at the time.
For those of you that don't know about HDCP, it's a copyright protection system for HD content broadcasts to stop piracy and connected equipment has to be compliant to "talk" to each other much like a fax machine does but with a digital code rather than analogue. No good having a HD TV if it can't display the content!
The 720 clarity is pretty good so I'm happy with that at the moment so I'm expecting big things with full HD. I could play around with the settings to see if it could be further improved but there's not much point until the HDCP issue is sorted. I'm currently watching "Inside Nature's Giants" and the colour saturation is clear and vibrant, so far so good.
I didn't receive the "free" HDMI cable with the goods and I have some ideas on the warranty concerns but all of that is irrelevant if the TV has to be returned.0 -

You and FWOR should get together...you suit each other!0 -
Also, thanks for informing me about China not having HD content...I never knew that, even though they are one of the fastest growing economies in the world! I thought they had it long before we did...thanks for putting me right.0

No really HDCP is about copyright, you don't say.
I bet the leather on your boots wears away a lot, especially the heel with all that goose stepping.
As for slagging off, are you not the one who is calling people toss ers.
Also try re-reading what you post before commenting on other people's grammar.
Any way please do carry on praising your company, I am sure no one has noticed how you joined after someone from mansion tried to post on here, and this is the only thread you post about.
As they say god loves a trier, and you are certainly trying.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
Have any of you "mates" actually bought from this company or are you just intent on proving your paranoia and conspiracy theories?0
