    Hubby finishing early today, so it will be nice to have lunch together (then I am hoping he will do a bit more decorating!)
    Going to have chicken sandwiches, with last nights leftover chicken, salad and some scones.

    What a mixture, much of it not exactly fresh and was best before/use by...still here unharmed...two slices of bloomer loaf, baby leaf salad, slice of processed cheese, tomato, spring onions, sliced turkey. Crisps. Two yogurts(strawberry and cherry)mug of minestrone soup.

    Made a carrot, cashew nut and chilli soup. Had too many carrots from making up some stew packs for the freezer so just used a few of those. Recipe available on the Abel & Cole website (great source for recipes - it's search facility works by just adding your main ingredient).

    Chicken tikka sandwich today. I've been struggling for ideas for weekend lunches lately, anyone got any good ideas?

    I want it to be quick to do, don't want sandwiches again at weekend, don't fancy soup at the minute, don't like salad leaves, bored of eggs and things on toast. Crudites and dip could be one idea maybe, but that doesn't seem like proper food, more of a snacky thing.

    Late having lunch as I went out for a run, so have just finished;

    Tuna mashed with salad cream in a small seeded roll, filled with rocket and red onion, cup of coffee and a packet of salt & vinegar Discos crisps.

    What about a jacket potato with various toppings?

    That's what I had today: small portion of LO chilli on top of a quick, microwaved JP.

    Late lunch...don't usually bother that much...two YS ham, cheese and pickle sandwiches made with granary bread and a custard donut and a mug of coffee. Total cost approx £1.11. They were passed their dates(slightly)but ok...otherwise I probably could've stretched them over a couple of days bringing the cost down to 55p per day.

    Thanks Maman, forgot all about jacket potatoes! I've also done topped chip bowls in the past, like pubs do, with oven chips.
