We must be greedy. It's only just about enough for 2 adults and 2 kids here.

Had my actifry for Christmas and at the end of February it gave two bangs and that was it. A friend sent me this link and I reckon we were lucky we never had a fire, etc

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2008/11/chip_pans_up_in_smoke.html

We had only used it a couple of times a week and only for chips and never the full 1 kg it says it can cook.

Please watch it. I reckon 221 is an understatement as so many more have caught fire etc since.

There is a recognised design fault with them if you watch the BBC report.

Has anybody got a current Costco membership for the price of the Actifry there. We have let our membership lapse and they won't tell us their price for me to work out if it is worth rejoining to buy one!

I found it for that via Kelkoo at Pixmania too. It is £115 at Makro and I have a card, just wondered since people were getting them from Costco if they were cheaper there. Thank you Emma
  • if you take the stirrer out ,use it like a frying pan,you can do many things without breaking the food up,i done fried eggs in it,you also can poach/bake them, needs ovenware proof utensils though. hope this helps.
