Just want to say well done to everybody so far. Great idea for a thread and way of getting a few extra pennies.
I'm a bit of an ebay addict myself and would love to join in but i have nothing left to sell! Have nabbed a handful of books my Mum was going to take to the 'weigh in' to try to sell but don't hold much hope. Sadly if they do sell my Mum will want the money anyway but at least it keeps my ebaying addiction going for another week0 -
Got a very large bag listed today which could potentially be counted as 2. will see if I manage to do another one tomorrow.
2 stars for me so far :j0 -
Morning - Well im up bright and early again on a Sunday Morning looking at the lovely white snow outside - I love It !!!
So Im going to try and get 2 bags listed then I can go and play out in it with dd later when she gets home from GrandadsI was going to list her ski suits this week on ebay as they are getting a little short on her - Think I will wait now
After making my spreadsheets this week for all ebay sales I am going to update them tomorrow after fees etc and see exactly how much i have made in the last seven days .
So far I have 15 items with bids on - some ending tonight and I have sold 5 or 6 this week . I have alot ending next weekend as I have managed 4 bags this weekSome items were ones being re listed from a while back so these are not counted .
I currently have 4 bags lined up to do this morning , not sure if I will get through them all today but I will try
kaz2904 - Yeah I have the picture problem in my house too so I have 2 areas where lighting is ok soI sometimes grab a black sheet and put it on the table and snap away for lighter coloured items and a corner of the house for darker coloured items . Then I too bulk load them to the pc in folders for what they are - Makes life alot easier doesn't it !?!
I also find if I have a spare 10 mins I do the type in notepad and save for these items then when I list I know I have the correct size / measurements etc - Rather than having to get the item out to double check again - also you can just copy and paste when you want to list like free listing days ...Another thing I find helps save time
littlesheepy - Hello ...Gosh you can come to my house anytime - I have mountains to list that I have accumulated that there just isnt enough time in the year to list

LOL I do wish i'd got knick knacks left to sell. I love the fact there always odd things you don't think would sell that do! I spent 2 months solid before Christmas helping my Brother household to 'ebay' He made near on £1000 on stuff he was going to throw away and there's still tons left. We stopped 'cos we didn't want to be posting and mithering over Christmas. Think i need to give him another bump start hehe0 -
Angel_Rachie - Sign me upto 1 bag pw please.
I have put on an old 'me to you bear' I found festering in some boxes and a load of Avon stuff from when I used to be an Avon consultant. I like someones previous comment about keeping a spread sheet for how much money you have made. I forget ebay take money off for commision and then theres postage to think of too. I have been saving old boxes and packages to recycle tho as these can add up too. Old paper primark bags also make good wrapping for packages. No More Buying Books: read 0/25; Bought: 0
May Make £5 a Day Challenge £003.21/£150.000 -
My spreadsheet is in a maths book with various columns for fees postage etc then the item profit and the total profit so i can see how much i've made throughout the year.
Angel_Rachie i have found that some Avon items go quite well, good luck with that
I Have mastered the art of choice listings today....the first one probably with 4 variations took me an hour though - an hour to list 4 things ha i'll be ebaying forever. Chucked on a few more bits too so putting myself down for another bag/star this week....earnt myself an extra star *whoot* now going to reward myself with an archers & lemonade & a good book in the bath

Got 7 items ending in half an hour to an hour, one has 14 watchers, but only one 99p bid  I'm actually nervous, really hoped for more than 99p! Previous ones have sold for £20+ so I've got my fingers crossed tight for a bidding war! Pleeeeease!!
Edited to add - It sold for £11 :-) happy with that xCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
Hi
I sold 5 things last night and total came to just over £10 which I'm happy with [not including p&p] I don't calculate fees etc cos 1. I can't be botherede and 2. if I was selling at a car boot I'd have to pay for that so I see the fee's as my car boot fee's - hope that makes sense!
I've relisted some bits that didn't sell and on Thursday I want to list lots more so I'll aim for 2 bags this week and let you know when they are done
HelenProjects made for craft fair - 40
1st fair on 13/4/14 :j0 -
After listing all weekend I had 18 Sales last night and a few ending today
I have 11 to pack and post today and others I am still waiting for payment ..so I will be updating my spreadsheet tonight after postage costs to see how much there is profit
Welcome Angel_Rachie  I will add you to the list - Yeah I have found the spreadsheet is already definitely helping me already as I can add items as I go along
_sleepless_ Well done for your star :T Yes when i first attempted the multi listing it took me ages too - I couldn't work out what names to put in which boxes then it came up wrong so had to keep altering it...then when I sold I couldn't work out which ones straight away  Think I have the hang of it now thow but I rarely use it now !!
zepsgal Glad you got some cash for it ....Its more rewarding isnt it when that happens
helen jelly Yes I never used to bother until I started posting second class and realized how much I ended up saving when I had lots of listings all in one week
Im off grabbing some bags today think I am going to list bundles this week as i have mountains to clear - plus I need the cash for bills at the mo .Ebay Bag A Day Challenge 2012- :staradmin

I kind of dipped my toes in the water and registered myself for a sellers account, having always just been a buyer on eBay.
Listed my first four items last night and even with 6 days left to go on them, I already have bids and high number of watchers.
I just wondered if anyone had any hints or tips on what items sell well?
The four items in particular were Game Boy Advance games and I checked other listings before I put these ones up and sales were averaging between about £15/£200
