  • Is anyone else saying to their computer screen this morning, 'Come on....bid!!!!'

36 items listed, most with lots of watcher but only 3 with bids. I just need to walk away and stop refreshing the screen!

lol I know that feeling. I can be on my laptop watching, wishing for bids and listening for a bid notification 'ding dong' on my ipad at the same! I either need to get an instant notification thing for my Mac or a life. I'm not sure which i'd prefer at the moment :D

Well, grand total of £240 before postage and fees :j

Can't believe some of the things that didn't sell, and can't believe some of the ones that did :rotfl:

Things that I have relisted about 7 times now have sold, albeit for 99p plus postage. Still getting rid of them though! And things that have sold really well when I've checked completed listing, didn't sell at all!!

Must have been all the good weather, people were out in their gardens instead of getting into a bidding frenzy on ebay! :rotfl:

  • Hi Everyone,

I started my own very similar challange in the new year. Got lots of outgrown baby items and decided if I list 5 items a day 5 days a week then I will slowly get through clutter without being overwhelmed & keep to the 100 free listing limit. Well made about £70 after fees & postage so was very happy, trouble is I then lost motivation :(.

Well after checking my bank balance this morning I have started selling again. I really must get myself out of my overdraft, don't get me wrong it's not loads (£108) to be more precise but enough for me to feel sick in the stomach all the same. Hope you guys can help keep me motivated :D

I made about £150 before fees and postage this weekend so I'm very happy with that - I now have the petrol money for June's holiday so just need to start on the petrol money for August

    Helen

    PS - well done zepsgal
Projects made for craft fair - 40 :)
    1st fair on 13/4/14 :j

    Welcome SunnyD4494!!

It's easy to get de-motivated, I guess that's why we are all on this challange. A bag a day, gathered up, photographed and listed. A few items at a time, keeps the clutter down and the bank balance up :T

  • Thanks Zepsgal, I did get really into it last time & made myself a spreadsheet so I could see exactly what profit I had made (guess I should of spent more time listing than on the spreadsheet though).
Unfortunately the pile to put on is now far taller than me & it's all a bit mixed up, but at least it's all ready in bags so can do 1 at a time.
Wow well done Helen, that's the inspiration I need.

Can I ask is anyone else really sad and keeps a spreadsheet of their ebay profits?:o

I tend to find that it prefer to know the actual cost of profit after fees and postage
Turning our clutter to top up our house deposit: £3000/£303.05 we're on our way!
  • Yes Sharpee me! It's kinda sad though ain't it, especially as the majority of mine went for 99p.
