Hi all :) Still aint found the sky digi remote code. :(

Hooked the tv upto sky digital today, impressed with the results. Think I need to play with the settings as the standard setting colours seem a bit grey. Wouldn't say its the best looking tv and the remote is a bit 'cheap' but saying that the picture quality is good and think its great value for money.

One issue we have is that when viewing sky digital the screen doesnt automatically resize to in response to program aspect being shown, i.e. 4.3 and 16.9. The sammy 32" it replaced resized the screen no probs. Anybody else have this issue and can it be fixed?

Its a bit annoying having to manually pres the 'aspect' button on the remote each time the screen aspect is wrong.

    Hope someone can help.
  • poppycat, I've played dvd's and used the PC on it all perfectly fine. I would advise that you have a fairly new scart lead for the dvd player though as I had a new and an old one and the old one didn't work so well.

salthegal, I don't know if this is of any help at all, but I have my Sky picture settings on 16:9 and haven't had any problems. To chane it, I pressed services, then option 4, then option 1 and then changed it from there. The only time since I've had any problems was once on Five, but that didn't matter much to me.

hi thanks, the digibox is set up on 16.9. its just that the tv isnt resizing the screen to either 4.3 or 16.9 like it should. the previous samsung lcd changed the screen aspect automatically as does the inlaws lcd. Its just a bit annoying watching a lot of shows out of proportion and having to manually keep pressing the 'aspect' button on the remote. Dont know if my tv is faulty or its just a common issue with the hanspree xv.
  • @ salthegal,

Make sure your 'scart control' option is enabled on your skybox and that you are using fully wired scart cables.

I do not have this TV but I suspect that the scart sockets on the rear differ slightly in the way they are wired. If you have made the checks as I suggested above and still have the image resizing problem, swap scarts on the rear of the TV and see what happens.

Hope this helps - please post back so we can see the results....

    Regards

Do you channel hop? Otherwise I can't see why it's a problem when it only takes a second to hit the aspect button. It's a good TV for the money so this doesn't bother me.
