How lovely for you to be in the position of being able to think about a slush fund, that's really great.

Hum, it was hard fought and took a HUGE leap of faith and some serious hard work to get there. I can't quite believe this is the state of affairs.
DH now wants to stick his slush fund money in premium bonds not a nice safe ISA. I am not impressed but to be honest I am wondering if this is a control thing for me, as I can see the ISA being "DH tamper resistant" whereas the premium bonds I can see being picked at when DH wants a toy.
We shall see.
No news on the job front with the exception of a few odd comments from Da Boss Man about interviews, looking smart (cheeky whatsit I always look smart for the office) and actually complimenting me on being (his word) brilliant at my job. Bit of a volte-face there! But hey I will take a compliment any day of the week.
I wish we could sort all the loans out but the ones with interest are gone and that is the main thing. The mortgage is TERRIFYING and I need to make this a priority and soon. Otherwise we will be facing another stupid loan situation to deal with that one!
Now off to a bit more work (for a change)Start info Dec11

There's an article on this site somewhere about Premium Bonds. It's of the opinion that they're not a very good place to earn money as the chances of winning are very low. Fairly sure there's a calculator of the chances of winning there too.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Hi PIq
Yes I have sent him that link, his argument was I put £1000 in for a year and won £100 (back in the year dot of the dim and distant past) which let's face it is a good return, but it is OLD DATA (God I sound like I am at work and picking someone's data and report apart).
Oh hum I have to face the trials and tribulations of the Big Smoke today - really need to go fund the ppt I wrote and refresh my memory on that one otherwise it is not going to be a smooth talk I deliver!Start info Dec11

Hello all, well crazy busy week done loads of miles worked too hard and for 6 days this week. Spent all today catching up on house and life stuff. Garden looking at bit sorry, have watered everything in sight lots, got 3 lots of washing dried on the line.
DH has been told he has to cash in his shares .... Another point of discussion for money and where to go .... He wants to save for a new car (as in toy fun not practical) at least I suppose save is a good thing?
I have to now look to the options and try to help him to come to adenosine decision
Nose to be put firmly back on the grindstone tomorrow another frantic week but I have Friday off, yippeeee,Start info Dec11
