Food habits becoming easier to handle - didn't even pause over the kitchen temptations today. Had porridge about 1030 when I was hungry and that seems to have worked.
Was told by boss I would be rich working for him in the near future ..... I did ask if this was a threat or a promise (also wanted to ask him when as right now would be nice!)
Aside from this, could not work out why the credit card bill was £24.87 higher than the DD taken - until I read the small print and they had deducted the tin of paint I returned and had credited from the DD balance - so bit more in the account this month have been very good and added this to the Slush Fund - £60 this month go me!Start info Dec11

Well what an eye opener tracking food is via MFP most people think my diet is healthy and so did I, but seems eating fruit is bad for you, 5 lots of fruit and veg puts you over the sugar limit each day!
Not sure of the accuracy of this TBH and as I meal plan and DH cooks from scratch difficult to know exact values but porridge followed by Stafford oatcakes and cheese plus beef casserole means I have had too much protein and fat!
Yet insufficient iron being consumed even though munch on nuts, eggs and so on through day plus have dark greens once per day.Start info Dec11

My view on the food intake is that you know exactly how much you should eat and what is good for you. Don't get too hung up on what a food tracker says. Listen to your gut and feel how your clothes fit.

Not really! Common sense, of which you have plenty, will see you through!

Oh rats have just started sniffling and sneezing. Not want I need, a cold developing now but perhaps a reason for a few extra days off ??
Doglet and I staring in disbelief at DH who is "clearing up" the baked Alaska (despite the fact it would be fine in the freezer for ages) BY HIMSELF!!!!Start info Dec11

Yep, this is a full blown head cold. Contemplating leaving work and going home as sinuses are full to exploding point and head banging, plus (and apologies for TMI) I cannot keep up with my nose! Yes I have drunk copious water and taken paracetamol too.
Checked all accounts and managed to snaffle £60 this month to overpayments account - nice start to year. Plus remembered to re-insure the rented house not too bad compared to last year but wayyyyyy to much for somewhere I don't live - does give me income protection though so some is peace of mind.Start info Dec11

Did come home, feel pants. Ear ache, sinus ache, eye ache ok I know these are all related so I will just lie here on my death bed and moan gently to DH who cooked food (didn't like to say I couldn't taste a thing) and made me hot blackcurrant (which now needs refilling)

Another day of sniffly sniffles and drippy noses. T3sc0 on brand snort up your nose decongestant is quite effective (more so than Sud@fed for me) but does not last 12 hours!
Did some yoga last night, helped with the stiffness and did make me feel more relaxed (even if I did blow my nose about a million times) and then went home tucked up in bed with a hot water bottle at 830pm last night. Been sleepigng really badly as can't breathe properly and wake up coughing throughout the night. Doglet is most unimpressed with this and last night huffed and puffed and ended up in the spare room asleep!!
Managed another all time low spends month - two on the bounce hooray even with some of the Christmas fare being on this month's card bill we have spent £211.06 on food and it was technically a 5 week month. Oh and this includes 2 presents and a couple of bits of replacement items and cleaning stuff.
We also managed to cut the eating out and entertainment budget by nearly 70% - only had 1 takeaway and 1 eat out. I did buy my boots, but with the money given to me this was mostly accounted for anyway and I had saved the rest so although there was a big transaction it was covered.
Freezer remains well stocked so should be able to get to March with low spends for next 2 months on food again which means the money earmarked for council tax that will not be used for this (thank goodness for this little break each year!) will finish paying for the insurance on rented place and also give some slush funds for restocking freezer.
Just checked back, (rashly) set a budget of £300 for grocery spends each month this year. Well managed to come in under that on average over both Jan and Feb, average is the way forward I think on that one!Start info Dec11
