Doglet's idea of me having a lie in is to wake up, wake me up by either jumping on my head and or licking any accessible piece of skin til I give in and get him breakfast which he consumes (or sometimes not) then gallops back to bed for boys cuddles and more sleep til lunch. By which times am thoroughly awake and do NOT go back to sleep.
So even tho it may be bad for me I'd just like to try please just once!

DH has overtime this week and delighted in telling me he "thinks" he can put some money towards his debt (it's only taken him a blinking YEAR!) for the first time.
He also said he thought that he didn't spend a lot on his car - Queen of the Spreadsheet here then pulls out the numbers and confirms that indeed his car costs a BEEP BEEP BEEP fortune. He shut up and that point and said he thought there was more OT next week too.
The money fairy still has not finished her rounds and made a surprise deposit to the bank account - shame.

I am officially unfit and have a fitness program, I am a nicer person and generally have fewer "niggly ishews" when I am regularly active and fitter. I also sleep better and manage to get more "stuff" done in a day. My own fault really I have slacked off doing anything remotely resembling the level of activity I am used to over the past 3 to 6 months. Doglet is getting that bit older and so is not up for the long hikes we used to do on a morning and at weekends, I am also a bit older (but no wiser) so find the cold and wet more difficult to deal with and therefore avoid it. The gym and I feel out of love so that went down the toilet and so I am left with sofa sitting and and now reaping the rewards of that one!
It also stops me from being so angry with daft comments like the car one above, probably as I am more tired and so it is less important. I can also worry when I am exercising and then breathing becomes more important which reminds me that somethings are more important in life. Pure psychology see? NO me neither if I am honest.

Just to make me feel a bit better I worked out the debt change - updated signature making headway on mine and not so much on his, but I can only lead a horse to water .....

I don't think doglet is going to let you have your idea of a lie-in. It could be worse, imagine if there was no boy cuddle

To be honest, he simply takes himself back to bed irrespective, but boy's cuddles means he can do BIG puppy dog eyes at me if I think about disturbing him whilst snuggling up a bit more, on his own means he has to play dead weight dog to avoid being moved.

Felling very fragile - nasty conversation with boss left me feeling very vulnerable and unable to stop crying apparently.

And so it's Friday. I made it. Woke up with a storming headache, probably as a consequence of crying so much last night and having weird dreams.

I was given the £20 I was owed and didn't think I would get back today so I was able to get the heel on a boot redone and also buy a poppy. I treated myself to a fresh roll and some ham in celebration which after yesterday I needed to get me back on some sort of an even keel. I now have £10 which is £10 more than I had for the end of the month so happy days.

I also spread a little joy by giving the 35 minutes of parking left on my ticket to a gentleman as he was arriving as I was leaving, it annoys me you have to pay for an hour and its the car park everyone uses for popping to a shop / the bank and so on, the turn over of spaces is huge, even when I have jobs to do I am not there for more than 30 mins and at £1.20 it's expensive. Plus the traffic nazi lives in that car park so even a quick dash to the shops for change is dangerous! Really nice guy genuinely pleased to be handed something for nothing and £0.60 making someone else happy is a £0.60 well spent in my book. What else would I do with it - screw it up and put it in the bin? Seems a little churlish.

Nice one missrir..and one good turn deserves another after all. Hopefully the Penny Fairy will drop in as a result;)

Your OH and mine have some similar traits..my OH's LBM has simply not occurred. He operates a 'don't ask, don't tell' policy with regards to our finances.. just always hoping that money will turn up somewhere

I may be offered another day a week after Christmas..am seriously considering it if only to crack on with some of these debts.

Have a good eve and hope the job app goes well

Hiya Brizzledfw - nice to see you back and to know I am not the only one with this predicament.

I think the Penny Fairy was the £20 I had returned even though it was a loan, you know when you write something off just because. I always say I will not lend or borrow, and when I break this rule I always regret it.

Thanks for positive thoughts and have a good weekend too!

Weekend off to a completely pants start.
DH told from a colleague he has been demoted a whole pay grade, not that he was given proper notification or went through the correct procedure so some one messed up. It starts as of Nov 01 and means we are several hundred quid a month adrift. Appealing it as not proper process but flipping heck cash flow is dodgy enough as it is without this. I cannot wait for this year to be over to stop kicking me.
Boss was absent yesterday but called and was super super sweet sickly nice to me. Him we shall see about .....
