Managed to get out for a while, DH banked the cheque for 2 of the 4 refund amounts, one was done direct to bank and just the final one to go. So what does the darling do? Yep you have it, go spend money. So nothing to reduce the debt by after all.
LMB clearly not happening at all.
Dragged him to l1dl's a punishment a d bored him with how much the veg costs compared to Mr T.
I really object to scrimping and money I save going on his debt when he does this. So I am having a bit of a rebellion. No

Now I feel churlish having read what I posted yesterday. Of course we are in this together. But I am infuriated. Made him pasta and tomatoe ketchup, and me pasta and fresh toms yesterday night, his preference on the difference.
Today is tidy the house day, walk the dog and raid MrT day. Lots of top up jobs to do e.g. Fill up containers from stores, ironing, washing, wanted to cut grass, but it piddled it down most of last night so that is a no go.
PIL leave Thurs so next weekend will be put house back to normal and scrub it.
Dress seems to be fine after discovering a possibly greasy mark on it, risked a cool wash and drip dry, all is fine! Mark gone and cheaper than dry cleaning.

Well it's Monday, and here we are again. I am fuming, really fuming as it would appear in this country the law is indeed an @ss. Work related not me related (that I know of yet!).
Was asked by DH to go to MrT, came out with £10 of reduced stuff. nearly forgot the wrapping paper which was the reason for the trip DOH!
Well 10 more days left of this month. Are we going to make it? Diesel in car, so there is a plus, soup in freezer, so lunch sorted, apples in cupboard, might be getting a little stir crazy for a change but I think I will manage.
DH was in a funny one yesterday, not sure what got into him - he wanted to talk but didn't have anything to say and then got huffy when I was saying well that's it then time for bed.

Who knows, just a bit concerned there is a problem brewing, this is how it started last time before confession central!

I frequently go in to buy something in particular and come out with plenty of other items, but not the intended purchase :o

Men are not always very good at articulating worries. Hopefully, he'll manage to put your mind at rest and you can help him sort out whatever is concerning him.

Oh, hello Piq, lovely to see you back on here. Yes I hope so too. I have a confession, I have been re-gigging all the bills, reprogramming timers, freezer assessing and I think that we can possible cover the mortgage increase (still have not heard about that one and as we were supposed to know in October for a November change!) without having to do something like cancel life assurance. All depends on the final figure from the evil beings known as mortgage company.

Figure came in yesterday post so awaiting my return home, £88 more a month to find, more than I thought. No possibility of income protection then.
DH failed to chase up HMRC about his claim for washing work clothes even though I did the paperwork and everything for him. I cannot pass myself off as him so can't chase it up with them. Think he has lost at least 1 year of this.
Next month I don't have enough money to pay the bills. Simple as that. Did my expenses at work for the month and will get that in pronto for payment but basically the littlest bit of a slush fund I thought I had made will be wiped out, and that is just to break even.
Onwards and upwards , meeting sister for here birthday part way between us. Agreed we are are not doing presents but will have to find lunch money. Of to raid the voucher board after checking what places there are where we are going to meet. I think I have the £5 snaffled in the car for parking so this may be used too.

    Morning diary
well I am feeling quite 'orrible. IBS has kicked off a treat probably due to the stress since beginning of September. Not sleeping as well as I need to, combined with not getting to the gym as much as I need to, and stress means I am finding it difficult to wear trousers or even skirts so my wardrobe has become increasingly limited. Have drunk so much peppermint tea I think I am about to turn into a peppermint bush.
Cold here, but as DH got the ceiling repaired in the hallway we have had to have the windows open to get rid of the damp so as a consequence the heating has kicked in this morning. Quite nice to be warm when I get out of bed.
Am off to get hair cut this morning so I so far have packed up all washing that was hanging out to dry, put another load in, fed dog (not walked will see if it warms up a bit at lunch time and take the Doglet then), there are a few winter prepping bits I need to get done, namely snow chain hunt and making sure the snow shovels and grit are in the conservatory so we can dig from the house outwards not try and get to the garage to get the shovels etc in the snow!
Something is still eating DH - he is quiet to the point of silence. Have asked him repeatedly what the matter is and got "nothing" as the response. It is a blatant lie. We shall see what the problem is when he is good and ready I suppose.
Does not look like I am going to be able to regig the finances to be able to afford the ill health / redundancy insurance and it is playing on my mind.
So, I need to finish my tea and then crack on getting ready for the rest of the day.
One more job is to clean the car, before it gets utterly revolting.

Mega productive day here. House now finally prepped for winter, garage and garden also sorted for winter. Pile of car bits now going to be sold and a load of rubbish not on this property.
I also found my pile of thermals and sadly discovered my Wellies of some ahem lots of years have finally given up the ghost perished rubber and sole leaving upper is the sad truth. Hoping Mum will indeed make good on her suggestion that she would buy me some more for Christmas.
Only 1 more present to get for Christmas then I am officially done.
