well I am trying to be inspired to write a superlative why I am so fab I should be given this job letter .... I need inspiration.
Why not pretend you're writing it for someone else? It might make it easier.
That's bad news about OH's pay, it must be making him feel bad too. It may have the knock-on effect of curbing his spending though.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Hi I am here, have been a bit swamped both from a work and a personal perspective.
DH wages have been completely messed up - we are fighting it but will mess up the cash flow for the next month.
Convinced boss is trying to get rid of me, not sure why may be being paranoid .... who knows. Actually don't think I am being paranoid but very confused.
That aside am still snuffling a bit, will try and have more positive news later.Start info Dec11

So what I did that was positive rather than wallowing in my own mire was:
2 hour whinge to Bestest Oldest Mate and cleared head
Completed and sent job application
Researched second possible job application , it's NOT an area I really want to be in but ......
Put out feelers for possible additional temporary post in sister company
Made a pact with myself I WILL complete the 2 projects I have at work before Christmas and my reward will be New Year with friends.
Spoken to other boss about boss and told him issues, he is theoretically then able to do something about it. At very least it is on record now.
Taken a very long hard look at matters fiscal and resigned myself to the fact we can cope but the security for TSHTF is practically non existent. This is what I am most uncomfortable with, as noted before I am a control freak and security is paramount for me. I need to remember that I can and so will survive.
Pleased DH is fighting with non responsive HR dept and he has a plan to follow up with this if they don't respond this week.
Wins were the free service , OK no additional cost as I had already paid for it service on the car. Was thinking brakes might be needed, thankfully not, and it was cleaned in and out for me.
Didn't manage to magic money out of an old account, was a long shot as I thought I had already dealt with them, but got rid of the paperwork so not cluttering up my life.
Finally lost the plot after 41 mins of next doors dog barking to be let in until 2301 last night so shouted "for goodness sake let the dog in", hoping this wont cause ructions but may stop the poor animal from being shut out for so long and left there barking. Other neighbours thanked me this morning.
I need to remember I have blessings and that we can manage, I will however be quite glad when this year stops chucking !!!! at me.
So what do I need to do? Sleep, preferably not interrupted by a barking dog, and batten down the hatches.
Found a bargain for DS birthday so need to sort that out.Start info Dec11

So told DH that we need to tighten belts and that a top up would be needed for the big bill of his car insurance early next year.
The response????
Oh but we have a bills buffer so we'll just use that. The spare money we are going to use to pay of my debt. Like blinking hell, half the spare he can use for debts, half the spare I am saving!
He was told in no uncertain terms NO it is not for spending it is for emergency tenant doesn't pay rent or leaves and we don't have another one moving in and his car insurance was NOT an emergency it's a known expense. The rent agreement expires end of May and we have no guarantee it will be extended and the mortgage company won't take sorry car used only for play at weekends needs insuring as a reason not to play them.
I give up, I really don't know where the flipping heck he gets his ideas from:o
So I am going to take a leap of faith and put the spare in the other joint account the use this when a bill comes in and any are over its cough up time.Start info Dec11

So even with the reductions I have managed to get on the bills I cannot believe how much more each month we have to pay for stuff. Our food bill is not so much creeping as galloping up! Even back to OS board to get the food bill down. Managed a £22 shop for the week, veg is sooooooooo pricey aside from bread and somehow a chocolate dessert that sneaked into the trolley that is what I bought.
Beggar of a week coming up, loads of travelling and I have the world's biggest blister on my foot , trying to work out what will be the least painful footwear to negotiate the underground in ..........Start info Dec11

well I am a bit cross, I went the Qu1dc0 route to get the latest energy deal, it is showing in account as tracked but not paid - they have taken DD for the first month energy so the account is up and running :beer:so where is my cash back? It's a chunk of money I was hoping to have by 01Dec for DN present:mad:
Off to the smoke again today, and it is piddling it down. As DH is sparko snoozing following nights he can't give me a lift to the station so I am going to have to either a get very wet (not a good idea as have big meeting) or b) raid the pennies jar to get the money for a taxi to the station. Usually the 1 mile walk is not a problem but when I am having to get to a meeting and be presentable I think I can't really turn up with hair the size of the Empire State  and dripping. Might not give the right impressioninf act probably would guarantee they run screaming from the room.
So how are we going on the debt front? Well the answer is not very well - or at least that is how it feels to me. Amount is not descending as much as I would like and DH seems capable of spending more than he can earnso never has any extra to chuck at it. He is quite happy to tell me he can take any spare from the joint bills account though for this purpose. This is despite me showing him that there is NO SPARE, it is all accounted for over the year and that is that. Nothing left. That is the way the cookie falls apart.
I feel I am waging a one woman war on money going out of our accounts and he has turn on the tap and left the plug out!\
On other news jobs are few and far between I am sure I can do different jobs but being constrained by the need to have a certain income to cope with DH spending is putting the kibosh on most of the jobs I may enjoy. This is annoying.
I know I have and am still banging my head against a brick wall with this one, and I need to stop as it is not productive. The question is how?
I have just booked the train tickets and hotel for business trip later this week, got a good deal and some cash back too so hoping that will all add up - you know the saying ....
Doglet is currently enjoying his extra bed time with DH as I have opted not to go to the office for 2 hours before London but to stay at home and do some work. I have this feeling boss will have something to say about that despite me explaining to him the timings yesterday and saying I wont see you tomorrow then .......end result bound to be a kicking for me. Ho hum.
Right I now need to get into the shower and sort myself out as I have to get butt ready for trainStart info Dec11
