Not a lot happening here. Still awaiting the report writing to end, it's about 3 months away. Done a huge plan for weekends shop as need to do the boring loo rolls, wash stuff and so on C0stc0 here we come. Can't wait for this month to be over, I have no money and need to acquire some cash for the holiday in Sept. work is being pants at present but counting my blessings it is at least in my life.
Puplet is very upset as I have had to be out of the house Mega early and back late ice a week for the past fortnight and it is only going to continue.
had a seriously depressing thought, I am not even halfway through my expected working life and I am so fed up with it already ..... When will it end?Start info Dec11

Well mega stock up completed with a whole heap of stuff awaiting to be transported to sister's in a few weeks for her.
Rechecked all finances and realised that this month I will reach the hols cash spending target and hopefully next month I will have the rest of the money to cover the expected spend on the cards over hols.
DH surprised me twice today - we have redone the budget for house stuff and come Sept we have a little less each to contribute as we had to raid the slush fund for the house repairs following pyscho freak tenant eviction. This will all be repaid and so the amount we need to add each month to the bills account is a lot lower and we have the bills buffer back in place. Yippeee. He then said he wanted to use this to pay off his debts faster as I said we should keep putting that amount in there and then I can syphon off the extra to a savings pot. Quite amazed he suggested this so we can but hope!
I woke up with a horrid dry scratchy throat, had not been feeling very clever yesterday and I was treated to tea in bed this morning. ibuprofen seems to be holding it at bay but it has developed a nice productive cough too so we shall see if this becomes something more revolting as time goes on.
DH then also surprised me by saying "it's all under control I will have the money for the holiday by the end of this month"
Very sure at this point there has been an alien abduction of DH .....Start info Dec11

Now that is good news; the OH wanting to pay of debts faster and planning on having the holiday money too. As long as you fancy this alien replacement of your OH, I suggest you keep him :rotfl:
Sorry you're feeling rough, hopefully it's a blip and you'll feel better tomorrow.
If you're fed up with the hours you're working and missing doglet as much as he's missing you, perhaps you need to look for a new job, easier, so I'm told whilst you still have a job!
Take care and look after yourself

Well I am starting the great white job hunt - have dusted off the old CV and am planning on spending my lunch hours not working but searching. Will try and get it to the usual agencies then do some research on the head hunting type ones for a change.
I feel truly awful, productive cough and a cold all in one so trying to sleep sat up in bed was not comfortable or restful!
I am thoroughly depressed at the thought I have to work for at least another 25 years ....... need to join DH in playing the lottery I think!Start info Dec11

So the work reshuffle threatened by DH work as come to fruition. We cannot decide if he is going to be OK or this is going to stuff us over big time. It will all be over and done with by the end of the month.
He is so disheartened - morale as they say is at an all time low. I feel like someone is stuffing tennis balls down my throat and just want to curl up in bed - fuzzy head and all that aside its like swimming through treacle. Can't even be bothered to get the spreadsheet out and panic over it.Start info Dec11

OK so apparently asleep by 5pm and up again at 7am means I feel better - hungry but better. Still have a cough and some bunged-up-ness but not dying. Quite tired again today and I have to drive to Leicester tomorrow and back ion Friday night (oh deep joy that will be thrilling won't it!).
Will be having long chat with DH tonight about all things money, well OK long enough I don't fall asleep again and then I will fall asleep again. Back on the merry go round tomorrow.
I need some inspiration ... have a boss with a right snot on, he and I are likely to come to blows so I need to get the biting of tongue sorted.Start info Dec11

Sounds like the dusting off of the CV is the best plan for you.
When you say you need to get the biting of tongue sorted out, do you mean, to keep it buttoned or to say something stunning?Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Well CV is dusted and have started with the agencies, why do they always call when I am in work and I have expressly said I have meetings between x and y do not call at this time. So they call exactly at the x to y period. If I was that incompetent at my job I would be sacked!
I have to bite my tongue as certain people are winding me up constantly insinuating that I am not worth as much as others, and that I expect too much and basically I am lucky to have a job. Which considering I am the longest standing employee and am (justifiably) naffed off with someone who has no direct reports and no legal responsibilities for the company is paid A LOT more than me, because they are new. GRRRRRRRR
So today I am sorting HR issues then conference call then leaving to take a leisurely chug up the M1 to Leicester rather than working to the last minute and rushing and being stressed.
Wish I could say something stunning, but the brain is SLOWLY coming back on line post cough cold virus infection.Start info Dec11
