thinking of you fuddle and about the fun you'll have deciding just how you want things in your forever home :j :j:T :T
Lyn poor HWK! I know he's tried your patience but he must be very stiff and sore. Wishing him well soon.
Lainey Sending you hugs x0 -
Evening all,
It has been a lovely day here and managed to go into town, first time since before Christmas.
Lyn I hope He Who Knows is beginning to feel a little better, he has our sympathy, we know how long that awful virus takes.
Hoglet:wave::wave:, we are much improved now, sorry about the bike ride being postponed.
Polly, a big thank you, you must have been in a terrible dilema with no land line and you and your DD feeling so ill as well. I hope you manage to get into your garden soon. Our decking, which has been down for about 15 years is rotting so we had a nice young man come last week and we are going to have some block paving hopefully in 3 or 4 weeks, I am quite excited.
Fuddle you must be in your new home by now I think. I just know you will all be very happy there and I wish you every happiness.
SM are you OK , I hope you haven't sucumbed to any nasty bigs?
AOT are you well,?
Lainey I had 20% off at M&S, as well and it was rude not to use it I thought:rotfl:so bought 4 T shirts and 3 pairs of pants on a buy 3 pay for 2 offer. I hope you are doing OK, but please take some time for yourself and do something just for YOU.
Not a lot happening, Himself is better than he was thankfully, I just hope the improvement continues.
Much love, sleep tight

Glad to hear that you were feeling up to going out Candlelight, yes I made the most of my discount voucher and picked up three new bras, together with three pairs of pants on the 3 for 2 offer plus a t-shirt as well :T Also popped into B**ts and picked up some new foundation, the No7 lady "tested" my skin and pronounced me a warm beige, have to say it looks and feels very nice so am pleased I made the effort. The last few months have really taken their toil on my face, I look tired and grey which hardly helps my mood, time to take action!0

It's "be good to Lainey" time. Time to spoil yourself and recoup after the last few months. Isn't it amazing that our face can speak volumes. After the long weeks of the virus I looked in the mirror and I was shocked. I knew I had lost weight but my face had lines I never had before, thankfully it has filled out a little now.
What you need now is some warm sunny spring weather to put you back on an even keel
Much love

He Who Knows is definitely on the mend but with a way to go yet. His chest infection is markedly improved and the pain killers are helping the torn muscles but he gets 'evening blues' when he's starting to get tired poor boy. Eyore has gone home today though and I have normal back, hoorah!!!
We've just had Maisie doggie for the day and she really has been amazing, for a nervous dog she's been doing a very good impression of a dog who loves being cuddled, she's been going to He Who Knows for strokes and licking his hand and took to laying on the sheepskin on the floor beside the sofa just to be near him, so much for she's scared of men! she's been a gem and we're having her for part of the day tomorrow when her mums parents furniture arrives and is put into the new house, love every second of it!!!0 -
Candlelight so happy you got out into the world again . I'm still wishing a full recovery to you both . Did your daughter manage to avoid being ill ? I think you're right about our faces showing hpw things are . All the stuff of last year and the past couple of months is clearly etched on mine .
Never mind this is a short month so soon be March ( where does time go ? ) I had a wander in the garden yesterday although it was a chilly grey day as was today . The oldies but goodies are showing their faces both winter beauty honeysuckles are covered in white sweet smelling flowers , lots of snowdrops , dwarf narcissi and other bulbs in flower and the tiny old fashioned primroses and violets are budding up . Such a joy and really lifts the spirits . Best of all I could smell the most wonderful scent and found the winter box which only flowers when the conditions allow is covered in tiny little flowers which made my day , it hasn't flowered for a few years so was a lovely surprise .
Lainey keep looking after you , I have very pale skin and finally found the right shade after many years with boots skin matching , I use the solid foundation in the case and just love it .
I too have been thinking of Fuds today but will keep my patience as she must be exhausted .
Hope eyore is happier today Lyn . You had him being Eyore , Cookie being Tigger we need a Piglet because he's my most loved character and he's not annoying , bouncy or miserable .
Take care all and cross your fingers . I did a long post on another thread a few hours ago went to post and got the log in message , was logged in , tried going back a page and lost it . I logged out sulked a while , ranted a bit longer and then went to do something useful .
Lovely clear night with a sky full of stars here , cold but beautiful .
much love

Missed your post Lyn , took me too long to face pressing the send button . At least it worked first time . Glad HWK is more comfortable now , these things do lower the mood , hopefully he'll soon be back to his old self again . Maisie has come a long way in a short time which doesn't surprise me as she couldn't have better second family .

Warm sunny spring weather would be fab Mrs C, we did see a little sun today, I ditched my big winter coat and went out in a light raincoat instead which was just right over jumper and jeans.
I chose the essentially natural foundation Polly, a light covering which is ideal for me and spf 15 as well. What a lovely description of your garden, I love the smell of our box in flower but it's a summer one, the bees love it too as do the butterflies.
What great strides Maisie dog has made Lyn, what a smashing little girl and good company for you both, glad to hear that HWK is starting to feel a tad better.0 -
I don't look my normal self either Lainey. I have aged a couple of years these months and I doubt i'll change that now.
Thank you for your continued well wishes. I handed the keys back this morning. We are solely in the little house now. I am very tired but today was a glimpse of routine. We both were excited to have a proper home cooked meal tonight with vegetables. I wimped it with the SC today but tomorrow I am to try Yorkshires in a gas oven. DH has his leftovers to take for tomorrow's lunch and I'll get up to send him on his merry way with his porridge.
Having paid off all my old utilities to close the account to move I am quite cross that I've consumed more that I had hoped. I now start again and will be watching our pennies extremely closely. Tomorrow will be potato skin soup. I've saved the peelings from tea tonight. Everything will be crossed and dotted in this house.
I'm off to bed my friends. Lay my weary head as the gas engineer is doing a safety check on the boiler first thing. G'night0 -
Fuds welcome to your forever home . It isn't surprising the past times are showing in your face , it's been a long hard journey both physically and mentally . Even my elderly face recovers and you are much younger than me . Well done on a proper meal . Let go of the higher than expected utility bill frustration . Today is the first day of the rest of your life . Sleep well and starting living with freedom when you wake tomorrow .
Love to you all
