Glad to hear that you are home Fuddle please rest up to recuperate properly and take care of yourself x0

Morning all, we have a grey and breezy day and it's due to get cooler which will be nice. I'm off to town on the bus this morning for a few bits and pieces and Cookie comes to stay with us this afternoon for a whole week, I'm so looking forward to it!
Hope you were more comfy at home my FUDDLE, just let the world do its own thing until you're a bit stronger and feel a bit better love. Glad you made it home last night, hospitals are very wonderful places when you are in need but home is definitely better for recovery isn't it?
I think we'll do a bit more work on the front border this afternoon, the holly tree I gave a hair cut yesterday really does look better and there are some old perennials under him that have been there year in year out for the past 20 years and they need to be dug out and replaced. I've got a big bag of allium bulbs which will look super, at the moment we have flamingo pink Nerines in bloom and they thrive there so the alliums ought to as well. I think I'll save up and get some Agapanthus too as they like a dry sunny position.
My treat yesterday was having my neighbour drive in when we were gardening and I got an invite round for early evening to play with Henry Ralph who is 8 months and 2 days of smiley, chubby wonderfulness as mum and dad were going out for a meal and Nanny was babysitting, Oh he's so cute!!!
Have a lovely day everyone, Lyn xxx.0 -
fuddle
I am so glad you are home and make sure that you recuperate properly. If you so much as think of pushing yourself there will be a bunch of old stylers waving rolling pins and handbags at you.
Family are coming round tonight and some are staying over so will dash around later hoovering, making beds, tidying and dusting.
Looks as if I am providing a "slimming picnic" tomorrow so need to make a crust less quiche and chicken pieces and salad.

I found a Clanger that whistles when you press its tummy..... Oh yes I did, I think that Zebra is going to love it!!! whether his parents love it remains to be seen though but I'm giving it to him ANYWAY!!!0
-
You do realise Lyn, Ruthie will have to hide it when the new baby goes down to sleep, otherwise clanger could be whistling away courtesy of Zebra.
Is Nell any better now, it is the start of half term here, is she the same?
Candlelightx0 -
She's getting there thanks Candlelight, the school ended the half term on Tuesday afternoon but staff have had 2 training days since then. Nell's down with Ruthie and Zebra today but going home tonight and then off to France on Sunday until late Thursday for a combined Language/History trip with 20 odd pupils. She's been referred to Rheumatology by her GP but the appointment is mid February and also has a Podiatry appointment sometime in November to see if they can help her. She's achy jointed and backed all the time though and the colder weather doesn't help. No matter, she's tough and will work her way through what she has to do however she feels.0

She is going to be busy then. I just feel so sad, like with Nell and DD1 they face a lifetime of pain at a relatively young age, and I am sure Polly's daughter is the same.
DD never moans and has weaned herself of T**madol, she just takes one before she goes to bed and paracetamol during the day if she needs them. She has been discharged by the surgeon and physio now, but she was walking quite badly last week when we saw her. She says because she has a steel plate in her thigh, when the weather is cold, then it affects the plate as well, so she has to try to keep warm most of the time.
I hope Fuddle is tucked up in bed, or on the sofa, keeping warm and having lots of little sleeps

Oh naughty Oma Lyn.
I am on the sofa and not moving unless it's to put on my big fluffy dressing gown! The girls are staying at MILs tonight.
I've been processing a lot of thoughts today. I am at the stage where I am getting some comfort from believing my dad is reaching out to help mam in finding her way in a less painful existence. Out of respect to Lainey I won't go on but I'm coping my friends.0 -
Welcome home to Fuds - I echo the others , rest for you as much as possible x
Lainey I hope things are ok with you and Mum ( and CS ) Is the soft food being tolerated ok ? Hoping the weekend goes well . x
Lyn I never forgave my youngest sister who thought it was funny to present my 2 year old son with a metal drum kit ! With a new baby in the house it did not go down well . I had already refused his pleas for one and bought him a xylophone - easily hidden when needed . She thought it a huge joke so I repaid her when her sons were toddlers in similar fashion . At least Ruthie can hide the whistling clanger .
I love Agapanthus - I have white , blue and a lovely pale blue and white variety . Despite the weather here they're as tough as old boots and thrive on neglect which over the past few months has been essential here as I haven't had much time to garden . Sending best wishes to Nell and hope the trip goes well . Was happy to read that all is well with Ruthie and the baby , not that long to go now . I hope you enjoy your time with Cookie I'm sure Docky will be keeping an eye on him .
Well I'm being called so hope to be back in a little while to catch up with you all - no peace for the wicked , not that I ever get the chance to be wicked .
polly xIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.0
