  • Hey FUDS look after your little self, well done that DH who I know will look after you all well until you are fit again. I second Candlelights comment, you ARE a brave little soul, well done girlie, I know it's not easy!!!

Home Bargains oh my, much temptation but most resisted although I do admit to buying Zebra a die cast aeroplane and 2 die cast cars for 99p each pack and also a packet of kinder hippos. Biggest bargain was T Gel Shampoo for He Who Knows at £4.99 for the bottle that costs almost double that in the pharmacy, I also found him shampoo and body wash combined for when he goes swimming and happiness was finding packets of Chorley Cakes which I haven't seen for ages so I got two!!! I think B & M here has a much bigger range and more choice but it's further away and Home Bargains I can get to on the bus. A good thing I think!

Back home and having a nice cuppa, think we'll be lighting the stove tonight as it's feeling chilly already. Just nattering to Nell on the phone and she's got viral tonsillitis and sounds like she's been grated poor love.

Have yourselves a restful evening folks, Lyn xxx.

Lyn Sending better soon wishes to Nell . Glad you enjoyed your trip out and didn't fall under the spell that seems to take me over . Much colder here now , we seem to have shot forward into heading for winter .
I also echo Candlelights comment .

  • Hi Polly, my rheumy uses it for me when I have a massive flare-up - its a way to quickly damp down inflammation and see whether it's reactive or time to put up the meds. I'm seriously immune suppressed and have been for many years, and like your daughter very subject to infections both viral and bacterial, but I've never had a particularly worse one from the kenalog. I get relief for about 6 weeks, and it gives a chance for other meds - anti-biotics for eg if I need them - to work or for a new dose to kick in. The theory with the rhuemies and immunologist me and my children have consulted is that it is better to stamp on any inflammation than chase it - iykwim. Luckily it's a consultant or specialist GP decision, who will have all the facts and info about your daughter. Might be worth a mention?? It certainly gives me some welcome relief when things get unbearable. Hope things improve soon ((hugs)) PsA is a really horrid disease!!!!

Fuddle, rest up & reserve your energy for when it's needed, you know we are all behind you and supporting you. How's your knitting doing? I've been sorting out my "hobby room" and just found the scarf I started for DS1 a year ago :o so have brought it downstairs to try & finish for this Christmas.

WCS Thank you so much for your reply to my question . I always prefer to get information from those with personal experience . Almost 48 hours since sickness stopped so she has the shoulder x ray on Saturday morning and bloods early Monday ( would have been sooner but Nurse is swamped with flu jabs ) I will leave it to gp appointment next Friday to discuss it with him . No calls from the surgery mean he hasn't had any call back himself so I'm inclined to speak to him regarding Kenalog , he won't have the power to sanction it , although he has shared care only rheumo can take the decision but it does sound as though it could be helpful at severe flare times . He knows dd much better than rheumo as he treats the fibro and other illnesses so deals with things in a holistic manner .
Wishing you a peaceful night and hope it's not too cold up there .

Floss I have half a hat - I really want to do some crochet but must, must , must finish that and get it out of my head , only been on the needles since last winter .
Candlelight pleased to see things are ok with your daughter and hoping all goes well with your hospital visit .
Lynn The T Gel shampoo was one of the first things we bought in HB such a difference in price . Luckily neither of us are troubled much these days with the psoriasis on the scalp but my son has a terrible time with it . He has for many years used a body wash from M&S mens range which worked wonders on his scalp , face and body . I know they were still selling it 2 years ago but can't guarantee if the formula is still the same . It's in a green plastic bottle and goes on offer periodically especially in the Christmas offers . Will try to find out if he still uses it as he went over to a lot of hospital therapies and remedies a few years ago .
Well I'm still trying to work out why I'm having such problems with the site since yesterday , it's very ,very slow .
Wishing all a peaceful night but remember to blow out the canles later !

Back home safely now. I think I may have taken the Scottish weather south with me. It wasn't terribly warm in the big smoke today and seemed grey and murky. It didn't even feel autumnal just dreich as we say up here.

Having a cuppa now and I may have an early night and start on my job application tomorrow morning. I'm shattered and don't think it would be my best effort tonight.

Come home to a stack of Christmas catalogues in the post - Lakeland, White Company and Lands end. I do so wish I had an open fire - I could keep it going for weeks burning all the unwanted stuff that gets sent to me! Maybe I'll start a stash for bonfire night. I don't do fireworks (would ban them from public sale if I could) but we sometimes have a bonfire on November 5th. Gives my father a great incentive to tidy up round the farm yard and add all sorts of things to the pile. I never look too closely at what he brings but it sure makes the fire burn well:)

Thanks for the heads up in the TGel shampoo Mrs LW. I like to have a bottle handy as from time to time I get an irritated scalp and a couple of uses seems to cure it. That's certainly a good price as I'm sure it was over £8 last time I bought it.

I type from a hospital bed. Things have spiralled. I don't have acid reflux, I have pneumonia again. Lots of tears because of the timing but I'm not as bad as the first time so I hope it's a fleeting visit.

Thank you all for propping me up. I can't actually believe this right now.
  • Fuds I've just logged in after much faffing to get the site to stop logging me in and out at random . Was testing when I saw your post .

I know having this for the second time is horrible but at least you know what it is and they can treat it. Please don't try to do anything but rest and recover pet. Gentle virtual hug.
