Ooh thanks Polly, will make sure I catch up that at some point, apparently he is also on S Mayo's drive time show on Thursday evening
Busy but lovely day with Mum, we spent ages going through her bits of jewellery and she is happy with what she has chosen for everyone. They are all boxed up with a note of the recipients name, she is going to replace that with a proper gift card when have found some she likes.
So many happy memories associated with these things, I remember going through her costume jewellery as a child and draping myself in numerous ropes of beads pretending I was a princess To me my lovely Mum was the epitome of grace and style, so wanted to be like her but unfortunately was far too much of a tomboy :rotfl:
Hope everyone is well, good to hear that you have been back on the bike Hoglet and enjoying it again.
Am really tired so won't be long out of bed, much love to all xx0 -
A lovely day with Ruthie and my Zebra, much playing, much giggling, many cuddles and many books read and he was a good boy and went down for his nap with no fuss at all. Ruthie had a baby scan this afternoon and he's growing well and the right way up, good baby too! Nice to be home again and looking forward to an early night, Lyn xxx.0

Heading south tomorrow for a meeting. Please tell me it's warmer than the frozen north.
That new moon sure blew in much cooler weather. I always find I arrive at the airport looking like an Eskimo and feeling really silly as I carry my coat all day so I'm off to put out two different outfits so I can make a last minute decision.
Hopefully I'll get back tomorrow night at a reasonable time and I can post a proper update.0 -
Well yesterday was a temperature here in West Wales where I was walking around outside in long-sleeved teeshirt, cardigan and lightweight jacket (taken off for part of the time). At a particularly windy spot (this IS West Wales) I wished I had a pair of gloves with me. This by someone from Southern England and its usually about 2-3 degrees C colder here than my own area.:(. Yep...I'm daft enough to study weather forecasts in my own area as well as here any time I think "Surely it should be warmer/dryer than this at this time of year"... I think my body has adapted slightly to it being a bit chillier here.
So - for someone from Scotland - it would probably be considered pretty balmy still.0 -
A lovely sunny morning here, one wash load out and bedding going round at the moment. He Who Knows has popped to the allotment for a look and managed a Cookie walk this morning so I think he's feeling better. Off to B & Q for him to get some more treated wood to make us some troughs for flowers on the patio, the terracotta pots seem always to crack with the colder weather, these wooden ones should last longer. I'm off to explore a new Home Bargains that has just opened on the same complex as B & Q, never had one in this area before so I'm interested as to what they offer. Have changed my 2.5tog quilt for the woollen one today, was chilly last night even with a fleece throw on top of the quilt, winter draws on ladies, doesn't it?0

Lainey Thanks for the drive time heads up . Listening to Bruce last night you can take the boy out of the backwater but you can't take the backwater out of the boy ! He has a very clear fix on both his mh struggles and the us election . Glad yesterday went well and fingers crossed GP call will be ok . x
Lyn It's a good job you are sensible when shopping . I have a HB a few miles away and sometimes come home with all the things I never knew I wanted , I don't know why but reason completely deserts me as I enter the store . It's good for hard to track down stuff and I hope you enjoy the visit . Glad HWK is much better , depending on the design of the plant troughs - mine sit on paving , I put thick rubber strips ( homemade ) under the lower raised feet which stops the damp attacking them , that was five years ago and no rot so far ,
Candlelight I had a laugh at your comment on the next chapter . I think many of us could write the book , trouble is we never have the time or energy to do so !
Hoglet I was very impressed with your planned cycle adventure , I don't think I'm up to peddling round the block any more .
It's a better day all round here things have calmed a fair bit and after day after day of heavy rain and yesterdays gale force winds the sun has got his hat on ! Much colder but a thick jumper deals with that .
SM I hope you get home early as planned and get your feet up for a while .
WCS I have been researching the Kenolog , very mixed medical opinion there , what worries me is the mentions of not suitable for suppressed immunity , dd has constant infections however much care we take and I'm unsure if that would improve or worsen things .If you or your daughter have experience of it I would welcome your comments . Sending gentle huge to you both and fair winds to the Captain of the boat .
Hugs to Fuds x

Good afternoon all,
A lovely day here, bright sunshine and I have a load of washing out.
We have been quite busy this morning, picked an order up from M&S, then went into town, bought dressing gown and a shirt for DGS for Christmas and met DGD2 for lunch. We had a lovely carvery lunch with a beautiful 17 year old. She is so grown up (she is the youngest of our grandchildren) and she is a pleasure to be with.
I had my bloods done again yesterday and called in to see DD as well. She is well, always in some pain, but she never moans.
I won't need to cook anything tonight, DGD1 wants to do her own meal and we will probably have cheese and crackers.
Lainey I am pleased everything went well, I thought Mum would be relieved when she had sorted the jewellery. I am not being morbid but I have already sorted mine, I just need to find some jewellery boxes to buy.
Polly, is your DD any easier, any word from rheumo yet?
Hoglet just take things steady, but you sound to being doing well after such a nasty fall .
Lyn, I want to know what bargains you found today.
FUDDLE sending you a big gentle hug, and my calming candle will be lit again tonight, much love

Many, many thanks
I noticed last night how quickly the day temperature dropped to night time as it draws in dusk. I also slept on the sofa downstairs and was so cold without my winter duvet. Chilly day here too. I've had my scarf on!
My MIL made us lentil and veg soup and stupidly I forgot how bad pearl barly effected my acid reflux last time so I am suffering with my sore chest right now. My DH is home so he's housewife and childminder while I rrst up in my bed.

One step at a time Fuds . There isn't much comfort any of us can give but know that you are held close in our hearts and minds and there is a trail of glowing light and much love heading out from us all . For now I wish you strength and love .
Gentle hug
