Good morning all,
A little cooler here this morning and a bit overcast.
I am not good in hot weather so I look forward to it being a little cooler, I I still want summer but not extreme heat.
We have to go to the tip this morning to get rid of some cardboard packing and then on to DDs to see her, and her new suite was delivered yesterday. She said she is really pleased but it looks larger in her flat than it did in the showroom. She has decorated every room in her flat now and it looks lovely.
We have no medical appointments this week (fingers crossed), except on Friday when we are going to some sort of educational course on heart failure. Believe me, I have learned so much about HF since April I would think there is very little left to learn. Himself doesn't know anything about the tablets he takes, or the names of them he just leaves it to me. He actually has 13 tablets each day, plus 4 antibiotics each day at the moment for cellulitis and leg ulcers, which I make up 2 weeks in advance in those little daily medication boxes you can buy.
I must cut the grass in the back garden this week if he isn't up to it. It has been too hot to do so this week, we have the sun on the back of the house for most of the day. The borders mainly look after themselves, and if there are any weeds they will have to stay for a while. As long as the lawns are tidy then the garden looks tidy.
Elona I am sorry your feet are swollen, the warm weather has the same effect on me. Try to keep them elevated when you are resting and put a cold pack of peas or such like on them to help with the swelling.
Lainey I hope Mum is enjoying being with you and hopefully feeling a little better
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, we will be watching the Hungarian Gp this afternoon.
Much love

Morning everyone,
It's a beautiful day here in East Anglia, sunny and warm but a couple of degrees cooler than lately so much more comfortable.
Have some pork belly slow roasting in the oven, luckily my kitchen faces North so doesn't tend to get too hot even in summer. We are having that with new pots and loads of veg with strawberries and ice-cream to follow.
Mum seems a tad better this weekend compared to last, her appetite is certainly better probably because the nausea has gone, the bad back pain has also gone so the AB's have done their job. She has already heard from the hospital and has an appointment for Monday 1st so not too long to wait. She is currently sitting under the parasol in the garden, enjoying the fresh air and reading her book, little Tilly is keeping her company. I spoke to my Uncle yesterday and he is coming over in the week to see her which she will enjoy.
So, lazy afternoon in prospect, will go over and see Bill this evening when it's a bit cooler, he is happy enough in his retirement and gets plenty of time outside in this weather. Am still looking for a permanent retirement home for him but in no hurry, must be right place for my lad.
My Mum uses those handy little pill boxes as well Candlelight, glad you and Himself have a relatively appointment free week. How lovely your DD has finished decorating her flat and is enjoying her home x
Hoglet, hope the return to work wasn't too bad x
SM, did you get your red currant jam made?
Have a good Sunday everyone.
Much love

Glad your Mum's feeling a bit better Lainey T Mums are precious folk who need looking after
I decided that sitting on the motorway wasn't a good idea with all the traffic so Dd and the boys and I will probably go to the coast on Wednesday when the traffic hopefully has eased a bit.
Saved my cash and polished off the ironing and did some knitting and had a read of my library book insteadJust off to Dds for dinner.

Hi everyone,
The weather is thoroughly grotty here in NZ. Has chucked it down for most of the weekend, interespersed with nice patches where I think 'hmmm I could hang the washing out after all' and then 10 minutes later it's chucking it down again. As they say, 'If you don't like the weather in Auckland, wait 20 minutes.'
The return to work is never as bad as I anticipate, but thanks all the same Lainey. It was nice just doing 2 days and then having the weekend, felt like I hadn't really gone back!
Had quite a quiet weekend with the girls - my mum asked if we were going to do a boat trip with them, she'd forgotten it's the middle of winter here. Fortunately most of the big trips are out of the way now and the bank account has more or less survived. We saved quite a bit up but I still hate to see the total go down. Mind you, a few years ago I'd have just stuck it all on the credit card and worried about it later, so I'm glad my mindset really has changed.
Right, better get onto some work, got a list as long as my arm of things to do, none of which I want to!
love hoglet xx0 -
Morning everyone,
hoglet hope you get through your list, I've a giant one today also!
lainey glad your mum I getting better
jackieO yes sitting on the motorway in a hot car, no fun at all. I felt so sorry for the people on the news, they said some had been there overnight! Must have been awful.
candlelight that sounds like its shaping up to be a busy week for you. I do hope it all goes well.
I've a busy day ahead. Six bridesmaids coming for a fitting tonight as well as a lot of work to complete today.
I've also agreed to help a friend. She sails on her cruise today but her dad is elderly and in hospital. I said id go to be there when they discharge him and pop in everyday until she's home. He has proper carers so its just shopping laundry and helping him sort his medication, as well as being an extra friendly face in the day. If hes not discharged today ill probably go and visit tomorrow, its awful being in hospital with no visitors.
So its going to be a very busy couple of weeks.
All I really want to do is turn over and go back to sleep. But no rest for the wicked!

Good morning!
How are you all?
So a rainy night here which should mean a full water butt! Hooray!
However, I am behind. Seriously behind. I've taken on too much. So I'm going to have to put off two customers, and make myself a plan to get and stay on top.
I am not a naturally organized person, its a challenge for me to keep to a routine ect although I know that its absolutely the most productive way to live. So I get in muddles then have to treat myself like a child and write timetables out for myself, especially. If I take on an unplanned extra thing.
So that is what I am about to do now. Re arrange those two customers and write a timetable till the end of the week.
Lol! What a Muppet I am! I always think I can get so much more done than I really can.
I'm also thinking that my sinuses are causing these awful headaches, it happened a couple years ago and I had to have a steroid spray for it. It started with my glasses hurting my face, and that's how these headaches feel again. But worse things happen at sea and its nothing I cant deal with as long as I find a way to organize myself.
My mum and sisters are so organised, it skipped me completely!!

Morning!
Rainy here today. But no problem, just have to ust the heated airer to get the washing dry and bring Judy (the rabbit) in for her run about today. She absolutely loves having free range of the living room, even tho she gets less run time in total, than when she is in her out side run, its much more space for her.
Today we are off to see the 'man engine' its a huge robot miner that's travelling around Kernow in celebration of our mining heritage. Though hes a tin miner and here its mostly china clay now. I'm hoping to get to sing along to Trelawney. I love singing our national anthem in a crowd. Its wonderful, and good for my Boy.
Also still visiting my friends dad, he seems much better so I might just ring before I go on Friday, as i want my visits to be helpful rather than an intrusion.
Hope you are all ok!
Kernow bys vyken! (cornwall forever!, I'm feeling patriotic today!!)

Good morning all,
It looks to be another nice day, the sun is shining and everything is calm.
Not a great deal happening at Candlelight Towers at the moment, which is good sometimes. Himself has had a bit of a relapse because GP took him off one if his diuretics and he gained 2 kilos in two and a half weeks. At our meeting with the heart failure nurse on Friday I told her and she looked at his notes and put him back on it. She was going to phone the GP to explain why. Although he is in the care of the GP we can always turn to the heart failure nurses for advice. He has now started to lose the fluid he had retained, thank goodness.
The back garden is looking nice and tidy now, I just wish it was a bit smaller, but hey ho it was good when the girls were young and also when we had our beautiful golden retriever. I wonder how he would have got on with Flora
August tomorrow, can you believe it and the nights are beginning to draw in. We are so looking forward to our holiday in Norfolk in September, I think we both feel in need of a break, and it has given Himself something to work towards. I know Jackie only has 2 or 3 weeks until her IOW holiday, and I am so sorry the family have lost Ollie, I know how devastating it is to have to make that decision, but it is the last kind thing we can do for our beloved pets and family members. They always take a piece of our heart with them, and they are never forgotten. Have a wonderful holiday Jackie.
We will be watching the highlights of the German GP later, we both enjoy the sport, and I do have my favourite. I love Daniel Ricciardo, he is always smiling, no matter what.
I hope everyone is well.
Lainey will be thinking of your Mum this week, I think her appointment is the 3rd isn't it? It was good to hear her appetite is coming back. The trouble with us old uns we go down quite quickly, but thankfully we bounce back.
SM are you OK? What delights have you been making over the last week, or haven't you had time?
Hoglet, how is the weather there, is it still wet, I don't suppose the cats like going out when it is really wet. Pilchard, the cat we feed, who originally brought Flora to us, is looking a bit rough at the moment. He hasn't been in any fights or anything like that, but he has lost weight again. We feed him twice a day and sometimes he sleeps on the garden table, but he isn't sleeping in his little house at the moment. I have no idea how old he is, but he isn't young and he is so funny. When he has finished his meal he walks part of the way down the garden, turns round, stares at us, as much as to say thankyou. I know one day he will disappear, but he is quite a character and we are very fond of him.
Cheel it is good to see you making daily posts.
Can I just say I miss Lyn so much and her wise posts. I know I talk to her but I miss seeing her name on MSE, but I am sure she must be very busy at the moment, gathering and processing all their lovely produce. MISS YOU LYN:)
Take care everyone and much love to you all
Candlelightx
Sorry Lainey, just realised it is tomorrow, good luck to your Mum xx0
