SM, I haven't had that problem, but I do a cleansing wash on a high temperature and empty a small bottle of vinegar in the drum
I am sure you have checked the seal around the door, that can become quite manky with soap and have you checked the outlet pipe. Sometimes it has a kink in it and can accumulate soap.

SM I can't believe people are sending abusive PMs...........Being online can be a terrible place sometimes but this was always a safe place to come and hang out.

SM I can't believe you have had nasty emails. As you say some people can do it because they are not face to face with you.
I just wonder are these people like it in real life, if so I pity them. What a way to be remembered when they have left this mortal coil.
By the way the icecream sounds absolutely delicious, having spent several holidays in Italy I fancy myself as being somewhat of an authority on good icecream.

So the washing machine has been run on a 90 degree 3 hour cycle with soda crystals. I checked the door seal, thanks for that hint. Not desperately manky but not pristine either so it has had a clean too. I'll get hubby to check the pipe- once he is better. Poor dear has man flu which he caught from me. strangely it was no more than a cold when I had it, it's one of life's great mysteries how it can mutate so quickly:D we will see how the white sheets fare this weekend!
It's a beautiful sky here tonight. Lots of pink fluffy clouds and baby blue sky. Red sky at night comes to mind so maybe summer is on the way.........
My tomatoes weren't performing too well so the leaves had a haircut earlier. Perhaps more of a scalping actually however they will grow back. I must pop out and water them before bed.
Candlelight - I'm thinking I should move on to sorbets next. Years ago I used to be able to buy a box of sorbets - I think there were 4 in the box and there was lemon, orange, pineapple and something else. They were served in the actual fruit which had been hollowed out. They were delicious - can't remember where I bought them and haven't seen them in years so I may have a go at recreating them myself. There was Plenty ice cream left over last night so I asked mum f she could "use it up" or should I take it away. Needless to say she thought it would be very handy to keep, just in case of visitors
paid in chickens - my hubby says I have skin as thick as rhinoceros hide. Sometimes it comes in very useful. I'm a great believer that if you wait patiently what goes round comes round so people will get what they deserve at some point.0 -
SM
The sorbets sound lovely.
I think it was Sun Tzu who said that if he waited long enough he would see the bodies of his enemies float down the river!
If someone thinks you are bland then they need to get out more. The fact that they singled you out suggests the opposite of bland etc to me."This site is addictive!"

SM We had lemon sorbet in lemon shells some years ago in an Italian restaurant in Canterbury. They were to die for and made your eye go up in the corner, do you know what I mean, because they were sharp.
Someone told me they sold them in Costco but I have never been able to find them in ours

Popped in for a quick catch up . Apologies to AOT who I mixed up with AOD - that's what comes of speaking to both on different threads . I hope you are keeping well and have some sunshine . Lovely to see PIC . Time poor and shattered at the moment just need to get to Friday evening and what passes for " normal " will resume .
Take care all

That's exactly what I'm after. I was sure they had been bought in Costco originally but haven't found them. The search will continue0 -
Ooh SM, have serious ice-cream and sorbet envy, have never made any myself but think it's time to do change that. I love sharp desserts, especially all things lemon.
Had a pleasant afternoon poottling round BuryStEd, despite the rain. I picked up my watch up as its been in having a service, darling Captain S had a look in the sales and found himself a couple of really nice polo shirts which had been well reduced and a heavy sweatshirt which was a real bargain, that can go away until winter.
Stopped for coffee and cake, mine was delicious, sticky toffee date and nut, mmm...
Not much planned for tonight, going to catch up on Uni Challenge and think there is an Agatha Raisin on which is easy viewing. Thank goodness no more football for a few weeks!
Have a nice evening all x0 -
Good afternoon all,
A lovely day here for a change, washing is dried so I must bring it in shortly.
Had my nails done this morning and Himself popped to see DD whilst I was there. She has decorated every room in her flat now and he says it looks good. We normally help her decorate but she knows Himself can't do it now so she just got on with it. Her knee is very swollen and painful, but she wants it done before her new suite is delivered. I am going to see it tomorrow, I will say she is definitely her Mother's daughter. I was exactly the same when I was younger. Himself always worked shifts, so if I wanted anything doing it was easier to do it myself.
We need to go to A*da tomorrow to do a shop so will call in and see DD on the way back.
Himself is on antibiotics again for leg ulcers so hopefully they will kick in soon. The GP had to change some of his medication because blood tests showed his kidneys were not working well. He has changed some that the hospital prescribed and has to have another blood test on Monday and see GP on Tuesday to make sure he has tweaked the right tablets. All the medication goes over his head so I have to go in with him because he doesn't know the names of the tablets. I always put his medication in those daily little boxes for 2 weeks at a time.
Have just hoovered through and mopped the kitchen floor. We are just having a light meal tonight, Himself and DGD wanted pizza baguettes and I will have tuna salad. There is apple pie and custard/icecream for afters.
Have been watching the news and the new cabinet news with interest. I don't think I have ever been sufficiently interested in politics to watch such things. I was brought up in a labour home but I think Theresa May might just get us through the difficult time ahead, only time will tell but she does seem to be a lady of integrity, I do hope so.
That's enough of politics, my Mum used to say never discuss politics or religion:)
Lainey, I hope your Mum's ultra sound is OK. It is worrying when older people lose weight for no apparent reason. I know our appetite dimishes with age, and sometimes you just want someone to cook for you, I say to Himself what do you fancy and he say "anything" well that doesn't really help does it.
Nothing much planned for the weekend, but I did think we would take DD out for a meal after all her hard work decorating. DGD can come with us if she would like but I know she is out celebrating a friends birthday on Saturday night, so probably won't see her until late Sunday
Put the new curtains up in our bedroom yesterday and remade the bed with new sheets and a bedspread to match the curtains. They are grey check with a hint of a heather stripe in them and the sheets are a heather colour. It looks really good and I am very pleased with it.
Well that's enough of my trivia, we know Lyn is Ok, although I do miss her posts very much. I hope in time she will feel she can come back to us in particular.
Hoglet have a wonderful time in Australia
SM is the WM sorted yet?
Polly I know you are having a busy week, I hope things settle down for you soon (as much as they are able to)
Much love
