Morning all, had a mad dash to look after a poorly Zebra on Monday and got back last night. Oh boy do I ache? carting round 20 plus pounds of poorly grandson and then chasing recovering grandson on my knees at a crawl means PAIN!!! but entirely worth it as I think he's much bettr today.
Nice to be home again and doing 'normal routine things' rather than being on the listen for crying but I miss his impy little smile, I'm just hard to please!
FTM I've just looked at your blog and am totally smitten with those babies, they are ADORABLE!!! doing very, very well too to have put that much weight on in such a short time, good stuff. Love what you've done in the tots room too, that's beautiful and what every little girl would love to have, well done, you're a clever lassie!
BIGJENNY get better quickly petal, hope you are feeling 100% better very soon.

Hi all,
The weather here today is lovely, so washing is out. We popped into Morrisons for some salad stuff and then into B&Q for paint. I have a couple of garden gates I want to paint and also the garden bench. The colour I have chosen is called Bay Tree, I think it will look good.
I had another lovely present yesterday, from our godson, some beautiful Molton Brown shower gels, I love it, but usually wait for Christmas presents.
I must tell you what my beautiful Granddaughter put on her faceb**k page. I don't have an account but DD told me what she had done. After she went home last Sunday she put 4 photographs of me on her page at various ages (I had forgotten how many colours my hair has been) and wrote "Happy 70th birthday to this beautiful lady who has made me the woman I am today - my Nan" . I could have cried my eyes out, I wonder if her Mum has any idea of what she is missing out on.
A quieter weekend planned than last, I just hope it stays dry so I can get on with the painting.
AOT hello, hope you are feeling OK and looking forward to the warmer weather.
Hoglet is it much colder now? DH sounds as though he is enjoying himself. There is talk of the Ricoh arena being renamed now that it is the home of the Wasps. Unfortunately they lost against Leicester last weekend, but there are letters in the local paper saying how the club looks after it's supporters and it seems to have been a good move for them, attendance figures are very good and they seem to have collected quite a few extra fans.
Hello to all the busy people on this thread, take time to have a cuppa and five minutes
Much love to you all

CANDLELIGHT how lovely is that as an accolade and how much does she LOVE you to write such a beautiful thing about you on a public bulletin board? You're both lucky to have each other and feel the way you so obviously do about each other, it's heart warming my friend, makes this sometimes sad world worth being in!!!0

Lyn, thank you so much. She was born on Mothering Sunday and I travelled the next day to see her, and fell in love with her the moment I saw her. You know just like you did with Zebra.
We have shared so many times together, and she was only saying on Sunday what lovely holidays we used to have together when all 3 of them were younger.
Their Father wouldn't go on holiday so we always took them, only in this country usually Dorset but we had a whale of a time.
I also took her to Craft Shows every year, and we always made our own birthday and Christmas cards, she is very artistic, more so than me.
I text her once a week just to check in with her if we are not meeting, and I always tell her how much I love her. I also do this to my other 2 DGC and even my Grandson at 18 will tell me he loves us.
We are so lucky to have such wonderful grandchildren.

Morning all, lovely bright breezy morning here today and I'm heading off to town as Rob*rt Dyas have on offer a kitchen aid I've debated about and secretly yearned for for years. I'm going to get a spiralizer!!! We grow so many things that I can make into lovely healthy vegetable noodles that it will not only help our waistlines but our budget too, also I'll hopefully never again feel that desperation about Oh NO not courgettes AGAIN!!! You can turn any solid veg, so carrots, sweet potatoes, squashes, beetroot, potatoes, courgettes, celeriac, swede, parsnip, turnip into vegetable spaghetti and use it steamed with a sauce, in a stir fry, as noodles in a gratin Oh so many ways. I don't buy many things as the kitchen is pretty well set up but I think this will be definite asset.
I'm coming home via the local centre for a trip to w8rose to see what they have reduced, we're a little depleted in the food department due to my being away most of the week. Treat for supper this evening, I delved to the depths of our big freezer this morning and came out with a reduced venison steak and a reduced pheasant breast so I'll casserole them for today and then use the leftovers to make a game pie for tomorrow, with some of my homemade redcurrant jelly, yum!!! You don't have to be rolling rich to have nice things do you???0 -
Candlelight what a lovely sentiment. Sometimes when there's thought put into something it can be the best gift in the world.
Speaking of casseroles Lyn I have a beef one to get on the go. My SC has gone on the blink so it'll be an oven job (which I'm a bit scared about as haven't used the oven for the job as yet)0 -
You'll be fine, just cook it for a long time on a low heat and it will be delicious!0

Morning all, house is cleaned, beds are changed, washing is in the machine, He Who Knows has gone alloting, I've showered and am now waiting for a delivery. Rob*rt Dyas didn't actually have any spiralizers yesterday, don't anticipate having them in the shop, the warehouse doesn't and won't have any for a minimum of two weeks if at all and I have to physically go into the shop to order one then go again to collect it. I can order it online for home delivery but that will incur a £6+ delivery charge!!! So we ordered one from yesterday Am*zon £5 cheaper than the one on offer and it's being delivered today! no delivery charge either. I have just found an inspirational site to help me learn the potential of this gadget it's called 'INSPIRALIZED' and the ideas are amazing.
Hope all is well with all of you and that you have a lovely Sunday, Lyn xxx.0 -
Good morning all,
Overcast here, after a sunny start. Washing is out so must keep an eye out for rain.
Lyn how exciting, waiting for it to be delivered today. What a performance with Robert Dyas though, I always find Amazon very good, and always look there first. I have had some great things and only have had one delivery go adrift. It never turned up but I had a refund of course.
I had planned on doing a little painting outside, but I don't want to start it and then it rains, so I will wait.
We have lamb for lunch with all the trimmings and masses of mint sauce, I love it.
At the moment it doesn't look to be a busy week, will see DD one day, having my nails done on Wednesday, taking DGD2 to the orthodontist on Thursday, that should only be a few minutes and then take her on to school.
VJs Mum I love the colour of your wardrobe and bookcase, the wardrobe looks as though it was a big job but well worth it.
Have a good Sunday all
Much love
