Thanks for the advice nursemaggie. I go both up and down stairs in that manner - its the only way I can manage.
Wow - what a price for the tureen.
I have two very pretty ones gifted to me by an old friend - and they had belonged to his mother. They were well used when there were all four of us to feed but its such a shame they are just stored away nowadays when there is only me in the house. I keep meaning to take them to the charity shop but the sentimental value prevents me.Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0 -

Hiya FUDDLE have you forgiven the bunny yet for eating your cable? she's a pickle!!! The kitchen sounds as though it's coming along, nice to have it a bit personalised for you, makes the house more 'your' home doesn't it? I now have an absolute need for lemon cupcakes with lemon curd in them, oh my goodness that would really hit the spot RIGHT NOW!!!0

Its took a good 6 weeks to sort another cable but cant blame the bunny as it was noggin here who had it trailing across the floor with a 4 month old rabbit running about. She seems to have calmed her chewing thougg as I came in from work one day last week to find running round the living room. She could have caused mayhem all day but not a bit of damage done. I guess shes used to wandering around on an evening that she didnt feel the need to 'explore' her surroundings. Could have been disastrous! I am, of course, blaming my girls for it
DH is sanding in the kitchen.. my cupcakes will wait for tomorrow. Ergh.
Candllelight if I dont get on tomorrow please have a lovely birthday0 -
He Who Knows has just called me up to the greenhouse for a real treat. We'd just moved the potting bench into the middle so he could put in a few more growbags for tomatoes when he found the biggest toad I've seen for quite a long time under the membrane to suppress weeds that we've lined it with. He's huge and has those wonderful orange eyes, wasn't very happy being exposed to the world so I caught him and popped him back into the corner behind a growbag and next to the wall. He snuggled down and tucked himself away, such a treat!!!.0

He Who Knows has just come in to the study and said'That toad is still looking at me, he doesn't look at all happy, he's just sitting there and staring! What do you think it wants?' Slugs perhaps?Poor boy is feeling mega guilty for having disturbed him now awwwww sweet!!!0

VJs Mum good luck with the decorating, I suppose DD might need to check everything before decluttering.

Oh, don't worry - I learned my lesson a long time ago. She has been party to everything. She did some clearing herself at Easter, I got permission to get rid of all art and craft stuff, I have FB'd her the odd picture of random things i've found. She did cuddlies yesterday (and got rid of half, I am amazed as i didn't think she'd let any go) and is doing shoes and bags today before she goes back to Uni. She has asperger's so I am very careful not to just chuck - even the cuddlies will get a week or so's grace and i will check again with her before I donate.
Hope you are having a lovely day - i am off to paint the wallsI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
