Hoglet, poor Socks, one very lucky !!!!! cat.
Yes we have had an uneventful day thank goodness. I am sure you wish yours had been the same, but at lest Socks is uninjured.
The trouble with having a holiday we always come back with piles of washing, and did you have to dry the tent out or was it OK?
Try to have a rest now before you are due back at work
Much love

Hi Candlelight,
The tent needed to be dried a little but it didn't take too long.
Just after I posted that this morning I had anther look at Socks as I could see a tuft of fur sticking out - I went to pull it and realised I could see into her neck - she's now at the vets having surgery to stitch it back together.0 -

Hoglet - I hope Socks is ok and back home soon.0 -
Thank you SM!
We have got her back from the vets - he described the cut as 'a good one' - goodness it was deep. Her neck is shaved and she's stitched up. She's taken herself off to under our bed which is her safe place.
Feeling very bad for not having noticed it last night :-(0 -
Oh Hoglet, poor Socks, but I am sure she will be OK now. and don't beat yourself up about it, just one of those things

Poor little kitten, hope she's slept off the anaesthetic and is now laying in the sunshine healing herself. It's so hard when pets we love have problems, worse in many ways that the children as at least they can tell you what's wrong. Hope Socks makes a speedy and complete recovery HOGLET, Lyn xxx.0

Hoglet, I hope Socks is OK today, poor little thing must have been so frightened. Perhaps lots of cuddles is the order of the day.
Flora sends lots of love

Thank you MLW, Candlelight and Flora.
She had a good sleep on the end of our bed last night, and woke me up at 5am demanding food so the rest obviously did her a lot if good. She hasn't eaten A lot but is picking at things, I imagine her neck is still very sore. Good that she is eating a bit, and as per the vet's instructions she is allowed out again now so she's much happier.
