Hi everyone,

Just a short note from me today (Thank goodness I hear you say).

Weather is beautiful now although had quite a hard frost this morning.

I just wanted to say I hope Fern and Iris have a great "end of term" party, don't eat too many cup cakes!!.

VJsMUM peppermint tea and also chamomile tea are both very good for indigestion and stress respectively. I like them as is but they're nice with a spoon of honey until you're used to the taste, might help? Lyn xxx.

Down here in Hampshire they don't stroke the dog, the village elders who were born here say 'Do you make him sit down and I'll smooth him' which I absolutely love!!!

Good morning all..hope your all ok..

Today is going to be busy..finish school and then party..yay..we spent yesterday afternoon making paper snowflakes...i found some lovely patterns for them on pinterest..my dining room was a mass of paper and glitter..i swear if we ever replace the carpet in there its going to weigh half a ton more with all the glitter in it..
I have cheated a little with party food and bought some bits..doughnuts..iced rings and jammie dodgers..
The girls are going to big sister Annie tomorrow for the afternoon..her and her fella are going to treat them to tea and the pop them in the car and drive around looking at all the christmas lights..so i am going to seize the opportunity to finish wrapping the presents..
I have all under control at the moment..fingers crossed.

Vj's mum..we don't have a dunnes..in town but i did just buy the girls some lovely knitted jumpers from there of e*ay..not a bad price either..o and the peppermint tea works wonders..

Well the wind is getting up now..it was so calm at 6..lovely stars and full moon..chilly..wonder if its going to blow a hoolie(i love that word)..

Mlw..i am so looking forward the cd of carols arriving..it will be lovely to have something new to listen to..only so many times i can listen to the Mickey Mouse choir sing in one day..
I have been having so much fun this week...i am registered with the TPS so i never get calls on the landline ..everyone rings my mobile..so when landline rings i know its one of those lads from India trying to sell me something..so i have taken on new identities lol..

FTM you've got the mickey mouse choir christmas album? we had an LP when the girls were small and they loved it, patricularly if its the same as ours which starts with the conductor getting them to sing Laaaaaa and then mousos bassos Laaaaaaa it's my abiding smile at christmas, I can still hear the Herald Angels from it in my head, how lovely!!! Hi all...
MLW yes its the same one..we have the original album..think its vintage now ..we were fortunate to find a copy on CD..yes i love it..but when you have listened to it maybe 5-6 times in one day with the girls doing their very best to hit the high notes well...one word springs to mind..headache lol...
OOhh blimey its so windy here..have had a lovely afternoon..we were dancing and singing in front room..delivery man was stood watching us laughing...nevermind..i am young at heart...my legs ache though..

Oi will use Wishee Washee Laundry..love it..and your lovely CD arrived today..its amazing so crisp and beautiful voices thank you ..you may just have saved my sanity..the letter from Docky went down a treat..the girls loved it..thank you

Woo hoo it's the same one I'll tell DD1 who will be so jealous, what a lovely coincidence, I knew you lot were just like us!!! I'm so pleased you like the CD I love the Donkey carol, I find myself singing it in odd moments it's in 5 time so it's different!!! Whoo-hoo! last day at work today before Christmas and DD2 home from uni today


It will be a busy weekend as I have left everything to the last minute this year so still have gifts to buy, wrap and deliver, food shopping, house cleaning and getting the decs up etc....still feels very flat this year but looking forward to having family and friends round.


Its been a very cold, wet and windy night - winter is certainly here. After all the flooding two weeks ago - the authorities are delivering sandbags out to all affected areas as there is an even higher tide (and high winds) predicted for the first few days of January 2014. The Environment Agency have spent over a week now with massive pumping engines pumping out water 24 hours a day from where the flood defence was breached and have shifted about half of it - on the same stretch of land , the sewerage treatment plant was also flooded so the water is not only brackish - its contaminated with stuff from the treatment plant....and it certainly stinks.


Enough doom and gloom - its the last day of work - Yay!
