  • Thanks skint :)

I haven't shopped at A1di before, is it any good? I am usually a L1dl kinda gal!

Working out what I can afford to offer when I ring tomorrow, it isn't looking good!
  • Usually great food at A1di, this is first time had any problems. Have just looked at box and their website, both say "return item" with receipt for replace or refund. I am not going to save the inedible half eaten remains but I might take the box and receipt back when i go again on Mon and ask for a refund if I'm feeling brave :o daft I know but hate asking for a refund, but they were £4.99 so not cheap.

  • They surely can't expect you to take a plate of half eaten dinner back to the shop??

Go for it, whats the worst that can happen? ;)

Just worked out my budget, and if I really behave this month I can pay enough of the tax bill off to mean that I then can pay £160 a month for a year. Not going to be at all easy to keep that up though. This really does suck as it means I can't pay so much towards my other debts :(
  • Hey Katy, just saw your post on cutting tax. Glad you managed to sort something out with yr tax bill :)

Manager at work has told me to write to council and claim for damage to my car due to extreme pot holes in my road.(he lives round corner from me and cuts down my road- have told him its his fault my road is so bad if he keeps cuting down it :D ) He said he would back up my claim with a letter confirming state of road. Might give council a ring tomorrow

Ooh thats a good idea. My car needed repairs due to hitting a pot hole.

I struggle to find the time sometimes to do all the 're-claiming' money that I could do.

Cut myself a fringe today and it looks awful. You live and learn I guess. Better dig the hats out!
  • scary self hair cutting :rotfl:

I tried to phone council but engaged. Went onto their website and found I can email them, so have sent email.

Maybe have a look on your local councils website see if you can drop them an email.

Hi Katy hope you had a good week..all things considered....at least its fridayy :j Hope you have a good weekend.

Had a reply from council asking me to confirm where pot holes are so went out this morning with my trusty notebook and noted:
outside school entrance = 21 potholes
    Outside no. 28 = 1 pothole
    outside no. 26 to 24 = 11 potholes
    Outside no. 20 = 1 pothole
    outside number 16 = 1 pothole/sunken gas grate
    Outside nos 12 to 8 = 6 potholes

Or as my DS said "its not where are the potholes, but where is the road ! " Await their response :D

I found an email address to contact the council to let them know where pot holes are.

What did you say to ask about getting some money back? I am not sure how to word it.

That is a lot of potholes!!

Not sure I could face going out with a notebook just yet. People round here would surely notice a crazy dog lady with a dodgy fringe making notes about the road surface!!
