Sloooowly getting there!
I am having an ebay listing weekend so will hopefully have a few spare pennies to throw at some more debts.
Also, if I ever get round to it (or stop avoiding it) I will update my budget and see how much more I can free up a month. Hoping I can hurry along my debt free day a bit!0 -
Still not done the budget...
And made the silly mistake of 'tidying' my wardrobe which actually meant getting rid of most of my clothes and going on an ebay splurge
Luckily I can list some of the clothes I am getting rid of to try and re-coup some of my costs
When will I ever learn...0 -
And the budget STILL isn't done! It really has gone totally out of the window. My spending diary is covered in dust and I haven't checked my bank balance for a looooong time.
Not really sure when I am going to find the time to sort through everything and get up to date. It is going to take a while0 -
Oh gosh,
I have lapsed since JUNE!!
And things have not improved in the slightest. This is not good!
I am off work sick at the moment so maybe now is the time to get the bank statements out and try to get back on track.
The one thing I have managed to keep going however is my penny jar. Doubt it will cancel out all the other mess though!0 -
Ooops!
Debts don't seem to improving very much....
My bills are coming down, so I should really have more money to pay off debts. It seems that something always comes up to prevent this though. Car repairs, vets bills etc.
Yuck0 -

I contacted Step Change the other day regarding my debts, and they suggested a DMP again.
Not sure whether to go for it or not.... Can you even go on one for a second time?!
I know my reasoning behind not doing it is because I want to be able to use my overdraft to pay for a weekend away, which is not a good idea.
Maybe that is the reason I really should do it?
My debts are not spiraling as bad as they have done previously, and I am making dents in some debts but increasing others.
Even if I did do a DMP, how do I change my ways to prevent it happening again?
So confused!!0 -
Digging myself into a hole again....
I know my car mot is due, or is already expired.
I can't afford a huge bill but suspect it will need a lot of work doing.
I live out in the sticks with no real public transport round here, and my job involves driving around 100 miles per day, not including travelling to work.
I don't dare check when my mot is actually due
I have been trying to save for it, but owe that much money I have been paying that off instead stupidly.
When will I ever learn?!0 -
Car MOT wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but other debts are stacking up so now biting the bullet and getting back on it again.
Kick me up the backside please!0 -
Dealing with StepChange now.
Struggling to get hold of HMRC to get an up to date balance off them to pass on to SC, just hoping this doesn't delay the start of my DMP as HSBC are now wanting my overdraft paid back in full0
