Struggling but determined... Mostly!

Thanks rising
Just got to get on with getting myself back on track now I guess
I am determined to get these debts shifted!!0 -
And now I have a dilemma....
When I was with 'he who shall not be mentioned' I bought two festival tickets.
I now can't decide whether to go and enjoy myself as the tickets have been paid for and have now sold out, or whether to re-sell the tickets for more than I bought them for and almost clear my overdraft.
Advice please!!0 -
Probably not the answer you want to hear but if it was me - I'd sell them.
2 reasons really - 1 the thought of being able to nearly clear the OD is a fantastic one but also ..... if I'd been planning to go with someone who was shall we say no longer around / had done the dirty on me - even if I did go, I'd probably spend a lot of the time there thinking "xx should've been here", "that basterward did xx" etc and wouldn't enjoy it anyway. HTHGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -
Thanks rising
I agree with point number 1 and I should probably focus on that as it really does make sense.
I think with point number 2 I would probably be too busy enjoying myself without him to spend long thinking about him!0 -
Dont suppose you could sell one to a friend and go with them. At least then you regain some of money spent and still get to go.
I think I agree with you about enjoying it despite whats happened.... you could go with the thought that he is missing out on you (and the festival)what a fool he is to lose you !!

I decided to sell them in the end. Common sense won for once! I am making more than I bought them for so will pay off most of my overdraft.
I am then going to go to one of the smaller festivals close by which will be a lot cheaper and I can nip home for a shower! Win win situation I think!
I am also going to a dog show and camping there for the weekend with one of my friends so that should be nice.
Even if I don't go to the festival he is still missing out0 -
Well I may end up going to the festival after all. Tried selling the tickets on ebay and the first winner had no intention of paying. Re-listed and haven't heard anything from the winner and they live abroad. This is not going to plan at all!0

The second winner has now emailed saying that they will pay me tomorrow. I am not holding my breath!
It really would be a great help if I could sell these tickets, but it isn't looking promising0 -
