He is due round here at 9.30 so I have got his favourite banana bread in the oven (fingers crossed it is cooked in time) and am just about to have a go at making him a picture in a frame for his recently decorated bedroom0 -

Hi Ash,
My rent is probably the thing that's taking up most of my money. I could move if I really really had to, but it is probably the last thing on my list to try. I moved here after a relationship break down, and its the only place I have settled in a long while. I think eventually I will move, but need to build my confidence a little more first.
Thanks Skint, I have sold most things that aren't nailed down already but I will have a look and see if there is anything else I can come up with. Its going to take an awful lot of ebaying to cover this splurge
I have decided though, I will check my bank balance tomorrow and really make myself get back on track0 -
Oh dear Katy , sorry to hear you have had a bit of splurge. Ive been following your diary , but I don't think I have posted.
I think we all have days at the beginning where we desperately want to spend as it makes us feel better, somewhere along the line we then go to opposite scale where the thought of spending any money however small sends us into trauma !! Somehow we need to find that middle ground and it can take a while.
Take a deep breath, check that balance tomorrow .
I will subscribe to your diary and keep checking in

Thanks Pinot, at least I know I'm not the only one that feels like this
I spend when I feel down, and am going through a bit of a rough patch at the moment which isn't helping.
If I was really determined to sort things I would check my balance now, guess I still have my head in the sand somewhat. Need kicking out of it!!0 -
Took the car to the garage today to see what the banging rattling noise is.
Turns out I need some work doing, not as expensive as I was expecting though. And the garage bloke changed my wiper blades for free
I am not about to check my bank balance, feel a bit sick but am hoping the good luck continues!!0 -
Sorry to hear about yr car ...Know how you feel !!
I set off to work fri morning and there was a big clang as a piece of metal fell off the underside of the car. Had to get breakdown out ...thank god I got cover ...and tow to garage. Ended up walking to work and back as only had £2 left till payday

Eeek!!
I do wish cars had never been invented! The world would be a lot less stressy as everything would run at a slower pace.
And I want a pony!
Bank balance wasn't too bad, but the £3272.60 tax bill isn't so pleasant!0
