I am about to lose everything I have thought for, I need advice!!!

Hello everyone, please can someone help me?

I have a major major issue, I have posted on here before with regards to the debt situation I was in and was given some great advice. I need some again if possible.

I have a fantastic job where I travel around the country delivering training courses, so I need my car for travelling around. I passed my driving test on the 20th October 2009 and on the 10th October 2011, I was pulled over by the police for having no insurance. One month prior to this I was having an issue with a pay-day loan company which should have been sorted with my debt management company looking after my debt. This payday loan company then got hold off my bank details (dont know how) and took £750 from my account without me knowing. When I rang the bank they stopped all my direct debits and changed my account number etc. With so much going on stupidly I forgot to re-arrange my car insurance and Hastings cancelled my car insurance (Again with out my knowledge) so I was driving for 3 three weeks without knowing my insurance was cancelled and thats when the police pulled me up.

I went to court last week and pleaded guily, It was my fault and I took the 6 points and a fine of £375.

This morning I have recieved a letter saying in 5 days time my liecence has been revoked and I have to re-sit my test and driving test.

I really cannot afford to lose my job because thats whats going to happen, after a fantastic start to my new career its all going to crumble in my face. Thats means my wife, house everything I own, I will lose, someone please help because I cannot take much more of this.

Lose your wife? - I'll guarantee she's not so shallow that she'd cut and run if you lost your job

Can't you travel on public transport for a couple of weeks until you've re taken your test, my ex was a trainer for an IT company and he didn't drive. It isn't the same thing as losing your licence after a drink driving prosecution.

Thanks, no of course not a little OTT on the wife bit but seriously I am sat here just shocked and all I can see is the worst. I am !!!!ed to put it bluntly.

Can you find a driver short term.
Wife?
The salary will be tax deductable.

You need to take advice on the money being taken and the insurance being cancelled with no notice. Without knowing the background, there may be ground for complaint there, and look to claim expenses and loss of salary.

Its impossible because I have to travel with my laptop, training files, client records, plus I have to be in one place to the next within an hour or two. Its impossible to get another job around the Teesside area at the minute, I am screwed.

First thing to do is to register with pepipoo & post here http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=5 on the insurance issue... if Hastings cancelled without informing you there might be some mileage there but as you entered a guilty plea maybe not? They are the best guys to ask.

On the revoked licence bit... get yourself booked in for a retest asap. Do you have any retired relatives who could ferry you round for a bit of petrol money in the meantime?

I'd tend to agree that you are completely !!!!ed, but don't kill yourself or do anything stupid! In a few years this will probably all be forgotten about.

You need someone to ferry you around, but because you were already in financial difficulty you probably don't have the money for that. Can you do an emergency loan off family or borrow from the wife's shoe & handbag fund? You're going to need quite a lot of cash to get out of this, because you've got a driving test fee to pay as well as extra insurance (the driving without insurance conviction will cause a premium hike). Sell some belongings to raise funds?

Can you explore paid or unpaid holiday options at work - try and get holiday / time off from the date your licence is revoked? This gives you extra time to retake the test.
