Good morning every-one, I hope you are all well. I havent read the threads yet but just wanted to post and will read at my own pace. I am still in Birmingham at my daughters, hence the quick post. I am due to go home today and will not be doing much except washing. I also need to look at the london"meet" pics. I hope every-one had fun. Might pop in again later/tonight.Take care all and have a good day. Love Elaine

    Morning all

A bit drizzly here in the North West, so I might stay in and get some Flying done and hopefully list something else on Ebay.
The beans that were soaking yesterday have been boiled and are ready to transform themselves into something exotic in the slow cooker, well maybe a chilli.
Got to go and unlock the shop, stupid door timer, Grrrrrr. and then OH's car is booked in to have the heater sorted out.
Have a great day and hugs to any poorly ones.

  • Morning all, can't believe it is actually light so early. Got off to a good start by getting tonights meal out of the freezer. I'm cheating and having Aldi lamb shanks, but my veg were bought from Lidl (1/2 price) and frozen, so I'm being half OS.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning everyone!
Queenie - thanks for those links, I'll have a look when I get chance.

College today - and don't want to go as we have the horrid counselling lady this afternoon who seems very emotionally unstable and ends up having a go at someone most weeks. It's funny really how her treatment of us as though we are 5 year olds makes me come out with 'don't want to go' as though I am 5yo!!! (almost all of us are mature students)
I don't know if it's the thought of today, but I had a panic attack in bed last night. Luckily I know recognise them so they are short lived. Got up and had a pork sandwich, read some tightwad and went to sleep.
Have any of you tried the hot chocolate recipie (TW)? IT's lush, much nicer than anything pre made - and the boys love it. We had some yesterday with cinamon toast - perfect partners.

Angelslondon, your post made me smile - 'tis very addictive this site eh? Funnily enough I was reading the bit in tightwad last night about dating in a manner that means you will meet a 'suitable' partner. I had to chuckle when I realised that I probably would be more impressed with being taken to a bootsale with flask and sarnies made than being taken to a fancy restraunt.....

Got ALL my ironing done yesterday despite a really bad dose of IBS in the afternoon. We did have to forego our pork dinner however - mainly because I fell asleep before it had finished defrosting... long story.
Also got all the socks/pants partnered and put away.
Right, I'm running late again (now you know why I keep disappearing from the daily - I have to 'control' myself ;) )
    Best wishes to all,
    Kaz x

  • Good morning everyone,

Lost a post here yesterday, so better luck today! I don't normally manage to post during the week, but no w**k for me today - I have the sore throat & high temperature bug that's been going about, so have had two very sweaty nights and can hardly bear to talk - silence is golden!!

So today I'll be horizontal on the sofa with a downie, snuggled up with the cat.

    Have a good day everyone

    Hugs

    Morning boys and girls,

Am just about to leave for work - was busy watching TV last night, so had to have a shower this morning. MATH, I thought of your wife this morning when I was drying my hair at 6.45 :D

OH is going back to Taunton for a little holiday this week, so tonight will be getting him ready

  • Morning Chums ,
wet 'n' windy here in Kent, how I long for the spring and a bit of sunshine. My eldest DD is about to board the plane to fly off with family to New York for a week. Hope she doesn't get too snowed in there as it's a bit colder than here.
I have lots of odd jobs to catch up with today, namely letter posting and banking ect,.I shall have to go and move DD's post as well as she has a glass front door and you can see the post on the mat.
Tonight I am off to London to the Mermaid Theatre for a BBC recording of Friday Night is Music Night. Last year Vittorio Griggolo was singing, and he was gorgeous, it's a nice night out and the entrance tickets are free. Only have to pay £8.00 for the coach, so a reasonable price for a concert in London I think.
Extra college lesson tomorrow as out tutor has to miss a week later on this term.must do some more revision.Craft class tomorrow afternoon ,I enjoy this one, as we started it up between myself and about 10 other ladies when out local adult -ed closed our class down. One lady found a church hall locally to rent once a fortnight for a miniscule price and we all throw in a pound or so each towards the cost and milk and tesa and biccies .a good two hours fun and chat and we all enjoy making our cards. very nice afternoon for very little cost. Our new cinema at Chatham Dockyard is doing a 'seniors 'movie once a week for £3.00 plus a cuppa and a biscuit .Another reasonable trip out.I love trying to find jaunts out that don't cost a fortune.Very OS.
DD just rung from Heathrow she says it's taken them nearly 3 hours to get to departure lounge as security is very tight this morning, all seems to be going well for them though.
well time I went and got the kettle on.have a good day everyone and (((hugs to those in need )))
