    I've been Money Tipped!
    Oh my!

Just opened the choceur whole almond bar I picked up this week.

Creamier than galaxy, full of almonds, thick chunks. WISH I'd never picked this up - the hips are going to suffer the consequences of the awesome taste!

Has anyone used Aldi or Lidl dishwasher tablets recently? If so, what did you think?
Just coming to the end of a huge stash of Finish Quantum which aren't the best tbh.
  • We did our Christmas food shop today in Aldi and their fresh turkeys all had a sell by date of 26th Dec. It was the same in Tesco. Is that the case usually, that they have quite short dates on them? I wonder if they will get another batch in with longer dates on them?

I went to aldi today to buy a turkey and ended up putting it back, I'll go back on Monday. I don't like keeping meat in the fridge for too long without cooking it.

The prepepared mash and carrot and Swede mash looked disgusting. Both were really runny and were slopping around in their dishes. My mum buys the Swede and carrot mash from Sainsburys and it never does that.

    Really? Don't you think so?
I can't find any better, which is why I keep shelling out for them.

Currently using Aldi tablets and they're fine. I've just got the basic ones as DH likes to use rinse aid and salt so no point getting 3-in-1.

I'm also a fan of Lidl dishwasher stuff but not so convenient for me to get to and I don't think they have the overall range that Aldi do. I always stock up on their rinse aid and I think the easy-pour packaging for their salt is the best anywhere.
  • I find I am using Aldi more and more , as there range is so much better than it used to be and cheaper than the supermarkets. I buy boil in the bag rice, savoury rice, cous cous , grated cheese, cereals , ciabatta rolls, white seeded batch bread, teacakes, crumpets, yoghurts, juice, bhajis and samosas when in as a special . The southern fried chicken wings and drumsticks packs are my family's favourites, so good. The only product that is not good enough apparently are the cat pouches, my cat is the only one here who thinks he is too posh for Aldi .
