I really want to give Aldi a try, we have a very small Lidl about 2 miles away, but Aldi is 8 miles travel, so is it worth the journey?
I do my main shopping at Tesco....

Only you know the answer to that question, depending on your trnasport options , how much you expect to spend etc You probably need to go once to have a look and then make a decision if you want to go again or not..

What's aldis version of baileys like please? It is worth a buy?

I like it. Id say give it a go.
    It'll do ;)

I prefer it with a drop extra whiskey myself. Note there are 2 strengths - it's cheaper to buy the £4.49 version and top up the alcohol with your own supply as you serve it. Problem is, I haven't seen any unmissable deals on whiskey of late and used the best part of a 70cl bottle in the HM Christmas cake.

Sounds lovely, is this Aldi or Lidl?

And has anyone tried the Aldi mince pies have the Which? endorsement? Verdicts?

I have had the mini version - 12 for the same price, they were GOOD.

my niece who isn't a fan of mince pies was quite happy to chomp them down... i loved the snowflake design on them which i couldn't resist...

    well worth the money...

I also really like aldis golden vegetable rice, 25p a pack, Ive tons of rice in my house due to approved foods, but thought Id give this one a go, very nice it is as well

Also, not 100 per cent sure, but think they have shrunk the size of the cat food, box is smaller, same price, its now 950g, sure it was 975g before, bought a couple of boxes today for my moggies, noticed the difference.
  • We had the 5 pack of sausage rolls from Aldi today for the first time and they are very nice, even the baby ate all his.
Also opened the pack of SS mince pies I bought ages ago, they really are as good as everyone says they are.

I love Aldi's mincepies and won't eat any other shop-bought ones. I even tried some of their extra thick cream containing salt caramel and caramel liqueur - jolly nice. I will have to go there tomorrow early.

I buy Everyday Essentials porridge, Aberdeen angus mince and steak. Mum swears by their outdoor reared pork (I have yet to try it), I do buy their ham joints for £2.99 so that I can use it for sandwiches.

I would rather shop there than at Tesco or Sainsburys (I only shop in Sainsburys when I have enough nectar points to use up).

Where my mum lives the Aldi car park is full of range rovers, audis, bmws etc and everyone leaves with huge trollies full of food and then they nip across the road to Morrisons to get the bits they cannot get in Aldi.
