Aldi - not good - what's happened to their makeup range? There used to be mascara, blusher, powder compact etc but it all seems to have been phased out. Very disappointed, I really liked the mascara but mine has now finished. Fortunately still plenty left in the powder compact but have had to buy new blusher today from Superdrug.

I really hope they bring the makeup and other facecreams back.

Yes, saw the fudge today, in the Chrismassy section (in mine it was near the Gluhwein which was interesting!!!)

One good buy this week, £9.99 - the ladies comfort boots, on Thursdays specials. V comfy, didn't need to be 'worn in' - ok not the most elegant but with jeans or trousers, absolutely fine. A good grip too.

I've bought moisturiser and BB cream this week, seems to sell out really quickly though. They seemed to have most things in today.

As stated, the fudge was over near the Gluhwein, I tried it, really did taste like home-made and looked it too, rough-edged chunks.
The salt taste wasn't too pronounced, I couldn't decide if this was a good or bad thing. It didn't last long!

Has anyone tried lidl's cherry liquor. Have tried cherry brandy years ago which was lovely but is now expensive, is this the same sort of thing?
  • My aldi has stopped stocking Allison bread flour and is now doing the pantry
Has anyone used It? Is it any good?

I bought it (the white version) and it was a complete flop in my Panasonic breadmaker. I actually took it back for a refund :(

Very annoying as I had the same problem when I used Sainsbury's flour once too, so my only option now is to pay the higher price for Allinson's at Sainsbury's. I've never had a problem with Allinson's itself. I don't know why it happens; possibly it gums up the paddle so that it doesn't mix properly, as I end up with an inedible pudding of a loaf with a lot of white flour that hasn't mixed in.
