has anyone tried the aldi amaretto? i love disaronno but is so expensive, we've tried cheaper ones in the past and theyve been no good (chemically tasting) so just wondered if anyone could recommend it?
As others have said, its fine (if Amaretto is your thing).

I'm trying to think if I've seen chestnut puree on Aldi Specialbuy at any stage, I haven't seen it in the Christmas stuff.
I bought 2 copies of the M!rror to get a voucher for this week's shop (going tomorrow) and one for next week. The other money off vouchers are useful too; cheap cooking and luxury chocolate, mincemeat, icing sugar, paninis, F*x's biscuits, crisps, cake sprinkles, salt and pepper grinders, continental tarts.
Do remember to hand the vouchers over before your goods go through. It speeds things up.
    Welcome Aldi newbies!

I bought a box before that survey came out but not opened it yet. Saving till the Christmas holidays! Willpower...
Hang onto it for a bit longer then, they had run out at my local Aldi this morning. Although there were plenty of cheaper mince pies and other Christmassy treats, the award winning pies were nowhere to be found :(.

Lidl parma ham - the corner shaped joint for about £12 is horrid - we can't get full size slices despite having a new Lakeland slicer, and the ham is horribly salty - would not buy again and we love parma ham normally

I buy the sliced stuff with the gold crown symbol which shows it is made in the traditional manner - no preservatives, just pork legs and salt. Lidl has Parma ham (prosciutto) cheaper than Sainsbury's etc.

Most organic ham and bacon has nitrates to keep the colour (bacon without nitrate looks grey) so we prefer the prosciutto as we'd rather not eat them. We cut in slices and grill then snack or crumble for sauces and salads. We also wrap slices of prosciuttp straight from the packet around chicken legs before roasting mmm. OH likes prosciutto-Mozzarella-basil butties or prosciutto-Leerdammer cheese-mustard butties as well.

I was just about to post over on the No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries thread about Aldi's Lacura Vitality 3 in 1 (cleanse, tone, moisturise) facial wipes, then remembered here.
30 generously sized wipes for 89p and they genuinely are the best I've ever used. I got the pink pack for mature skin, most mature skin products are a bit rich for me but these are brilliant. I saw them recommended in a magazine as a 'Best Buy' and they were right.
Fantastic value, lovely to use with a faint vanilla scent.

Aldi's specially selected Frozen venison steak are amazing, enough for four servings and for £6.99 a great buy.

I love most things from Aldi - so far I haven't liked their frozen peas or filled pasta, the rest is great and I have been shopping there now for 18 months.

My local aldi has bird seed on offer just now, its 7.99 for 12.75 kilos. My mum usually gets the B and M bargains one for 12 quid for a similar weight so, good bargain for anyone who feeds local birds.

I always buy the white and it's fine. I once picked up the green by mistake (the packaging is very similar) and we threw it away! No comparison, it just doesn't lather up the same.
