Having learned that Tesco are now saving money by using their food trucks (instead of waste contractors) to transport rotting food waste, I'm even less likely to return Tesco!

High prices and the risk of contaminated food - what a toxic combination!

  • Aldi cat litter is excellent - and cheap.

  • I love the hot chocolate sachets in Aldi.10 for 99p! 41cals a sachet. Also love the stuffed duck from Lidl, buy it very year. The stuffing is very tasty as well. Aldi do one but not quite as good as the lidl one IMO.

Yes is good value and seems to last an awful long time. The dry cat food seems to be good too at 95p for 950g box. Our cat gets 50 grams a day (lazy indoor cat and not skinny) so a box lasts 19 days.

i love the aldi salt and pepper cashew but the last few times I have been in there they havent had any. I have only tried one store and wondered if it was this store that had stopped stocking them or if they had stopped selling them

I hope not as was hoping to get a few bags in for over Christmas

Tried some Aldi beer last night.

The stella lookalike is very drinkable - not stella, but good.
Tried their stubbies too - Brasserie Biere. Not so nice.

We had one each today, lovely. Pastry just the right thickness and didn't crumble . Filling almost filled to the top and tasted lovely. The first thing DH said was" buy them again".

If they are the ones in the red box then they are very nice. Managed to grab one yesterday before the whole box went.

Aldi Amaretto is £4.99 and very nice. Managed to finish a bottle this week. :o
