Lidl started selling there 5 litres of screen wash for £5.99 this week.

It is one of the best winter screen washes out there ..undiluted it goes down to -60 I used it last year and would recommend it

Bought 6 bottles of Torro Locco today, plus a few other bits from Ald used £5 voucher - can confirm its lush, if you like a good red - they are stashed away for Xmas - just hope they make it that far ;)

You'll need a stronger will than me then! I bought a supply on Thursday and put it all on the rack in the garage. Last night a bottle found it's way into the kitchen and of course I had to sample it! Very acceptable for the price. In fact, more palatable than the more expensive red I usually buy at Aldi.

my favourite has to be the Potatoes Au Gratin, which are in the fridge section, sliced potato in cheese sauce boxed in a vacuum sealed pack, absolutely yummy!!! Plus we like their frozen mash potato as well. Also like Racer (snickers) and Jive (twix), not keen on the Bountys though. all the crisps are excellent, the crispy fries are exactly like Walkers French Fries. The only thing I wont buy again is the fizzy diet orange pop, which I got this week with the voucher from the Mirror, but it was vile. Cant fault the cola though!
You're so very special, I wish I was special

  • Hi! This is my first post on here so here goes:
I have shopped at Aldi for years and overall do most of my shopping in there now. I visited a new store in Lexden, Colchester today at around 11am and the car park was chaotic as they have a church in the same building as Aldi (pretty unique I thought!). Got parked and went in to find that the veg had been delivered and was stacked all over the floor and lots of empty baskets on the veg aisle. Had to ask for the packs of 3 bananas, assistant found them still cling wrapped on a pallet.
At the checkout stood behind rather smartly dressed couple in linen casuals, who promptly loaded their considerable shopping into 'Waitrose' carrier bags!! Just love Aldi!! The food's good too.
I have taken the last couple of days to read through this entire thread and felt compelled to join and sing Aldi's praises too. One is being built near me in Witham so can't wait!:j:T

  • I've been shopping in Aldi and Lidl for years now. We go to Reading every other week especially to get Aldi's diet lemonade! We've tried many others, but that is our choice. We buy 20 every time! My husband loves their jaffa cakes (although he doesn't like those from Lidl). And smoked cheese with ham.
I've tried their version of Malibu, and I can't tell the difference. Well - I do. At the checkout!

Don't forget that you can make a gorgeous bread and butter pudding with panettone..

Having (whoops) just finished a bottle of Valpollicella Ripasso from Aldi I can recommend that..
