Nothing nice about the egg fried rice in a packet from Aldi.

Peculiar odd smell whilst it was cooking and both oh and myself tried one forkful and gave up.

only product from Aldi that I have actively disliked

I'll second this dianasnan...tried it last night and it was vile, very unusual for me to leave food but it was uneatable! Even DS who hoovers up everything put in front of him couldn't eat it.
Annoyed as I bought 2 packets, so still have one left.

I do like most things I buy in aldi though...annoying when you really like something then it disappears from the shelves, though I guess that happens in all SMs.

Yes but some people feel ashamed to use ALD1 bags, as they don't want anyone to know they shop there;):D

Nope, just adverse to paying for them!

    Thanks.
I think we'll also try the Toro Loco rose also. Plenty of badges awarded to that one also and £3.69.

Has anyone any reviews of the 3l boxed perry??

  • We took advantage of the Mirror voucher and went into Aldi to see if they had any decent skiing clobber (not really, at the moment, but there is some good winter running and cycling gear in stock). We did, however, buy Dominion Wine Gums. My o/h is a real fiend for wine gums, and I wasn't sure how he'd cope without his usual brand (Maynards). However, we gave them a really thorough testing when we got caught in a massive traffic jam today, and managed to demolish the whole packet between us in a six-hour journey. They were DELICIOUS!!:j Looks like I'll be putting the cycling clobber to good use pretty quickly, to burn off the billion sweetie calories :o Sorry, Maynards, you've lost a loyal customer.....

Perry isn't wine, it's pear cider.
I'm only pointing that out, because I only found that out recently.
