    Agree about the aldi onions.

    Lidl cereals are awful

Have you tired the luxury muesli (on blue or green bags)? We love that.

Aldi Onions are hit and miss here too. We use a fair few onions a week but some are bad inside usually or soft. Red onions are better but dearer. Could do with them selling loose onions like they do with other stuff now.

Noticed the Aldi Ceral bars (White Choc) have changed. They are firmer and more oaty but taste worse.

I have just tried Aldi's new (to me anyway) Rio D'oro Shloer looky-likey, sparkling red grape variety. Very, very nice. I think it was about 99p, perhaps cheaper. They had rose and white varieties as well..

I agree - about the best on the market, and made for Lidl by by Dorset Cereals.

Not just me on the onions then? Given that there are so many complaints about them (and I've even flagged it up with Aldi HO) it's surprising they don't change their supplier.

I'm not very impressed by the new design 4 pint milk bottles. They seem much flimsier than the old ones. My fridge only has room for them to be stored on their side, and I've had leakages (from the caps) on two occasions so far.

Just read Lidl's new wine summer collection and was very surprised to see they are now selling the red wine named Carles.

The proper name for this wine is Priorat Crianza and this particular wine was only available in spain from Lidl.

I did hear that this particular bottle is being sold in some london restuarants for around £70 - £80.

It is priced at £5.99 and is well worth a try, if you do buy, please decant for an hour. This is a lovely wine and a must buy.
    Keep right on :T

I've been working my way through the Aldi Italian Ham varieties over the past few weeks. They are all good, with lean non-watery ham supplemented with (I assume) traditional flavourings from each region.

    - Genoa is peppery.
    - Roma is plain.
    - Calabria is spicy with a chilli crust
    - Sicilian has a tomato crust

Only 5 slices for 99p, but very, very nice.
I always buy these, far nicer tate and not dripping in water.
Do I need it or just want it.

Due to the distance of my closest Lidl store, I rarely ever shop there, as Aldi is more convenient, however, on my last visit (some time ago), I was very impressed by the quality and price of the crayfish tails, they were delicious, and priced at £1.50 per pack (cannot remember the weight), a bargain, and wondered if they still sell them. I bought a couple of packs from Morrison on Friday, as they were priced at £2.79 (120g). I wondered if anybody had spotted any better deals?
