Yeah it reappeared in our store about a month ago. No supply issues since.0 -
Tried Lidl tiramisu £1:99 absolutely awful way too sweet and tasted of plastic even the dog walked away from it.0

Due to the distance of my closest Lidl store, I rarely ever shop there, as Aldi is more convenient, however, on my last visit (some time ago), I was very impressed by the quality and price of the crayfish tails, they were delicious, and priced at £1.50 per pack (cannot remember the weight), a bargain, and wondered if they still sell them. I bought a couple of packs from Morrison on Friday, as they were priced at £2.79 (120g). I wondered if anybody had spotted any better deals?

Just a update that all Aldi's will have free cash machines in every store by end of 2016.0

I used to swear by Lidl blackcurrant individual cheesecakes (pack of 3 for 99p) - but they changed the brand and they're no longer as good.
I tried the lemon ones instead (same brand as the original blackcurrant ones) and have already decided they're lovely. Six individual pots will have made their way through my fridge this week ... I hope it's just a phase I'm going through, my waistline can't handle this volume!0 -
Still having problems with Aldi's onions, shallots and garlic (about the only thing we ever have problems with there).
All of very poor quality, frequently bad inside, and often a 30-50% wastage rate.
Waitrose is more expensive - but actually cheaper after taking account of the wastage. So all these now have to come from Waitrose.
Anyone else still getting problems with these?0 -
Just finished some garlic - still okay after maybe 2 months in the fridge.
Onions, yes, occasionally a problem, especially if they've been around for a while. I struggle to use 9 onions quickly, but can't be bothered to go somewhere where they are sold loose (and I doubt the saving would be huge).0 -
I've been working my way through the Aldi Italian Ham varieties over the past few weeks. They are all good, with lean non-watery ham supplemented with (I assume) traditional flavourings from each region.
- Genoa is peppery.
- Roma is plain.
- Calabria is spicy with a chilli crust
- Sicilian has a tomato crust
Only 5 slices for 99p, but very, very nice.0 -
